why do you hate me?

"No, I don't think it's going to reject you again." he said, staring at the creature's eyes. As she bowed to it, the hippogriff's attention turned to the girl in front of it and it stared at her. Jake looked between the two of them intently, wondering what the creature would do. A few minutes passed and the hippogriff hadn't bowed back to her. Just as he was about to say something to her, the hippogriff returned her gesture and he smiled. Her intentions must he pure now, and the hippogriff felt that and now it accepted her. "I told you it wouldn't reject you again." he said, patting the creature's side.

The hippogriff returned to its original position and shifted its weight again. It stretched its wings out and flapped them twice before it rested its wings on its sides again. "Want to go on a ride on it?" he asked her. The hippogriff had dropped its gaze to the ground and even though it had accepted her, it didn't seem to want to kneel down for her to mount it, as it had done with Kiara Lawrence during the class. He glanced at it quickly before extending his hand toward Cecilia. "It might help clear your mind, some." he said softly.

“Sounds like it would be fun.” Cecilia said looking at him uneasily. “It’s safe right?” She didn’t doubt the creature she doubted herself. “Okay I guess,” She said quietly placing her hand in his so that he could help her onto the amazing creature. She felt a tingling where his hand touched hers and she almost pulled it away but she didn’t. She looked into his eyes for the first time since he asked her to stay after class but she quickly looked away again. “Have you ever flown on one before?” She asked quietly as he helped her onto the hippogriff.

Jake nodded at her and smiled a bit. "Yes, it's completely safe." he said. "Just hold on tight, cause these creatures are fast when they're in the air." he told her, as he helped her onto the hippogriff. It ruffled its feathers a bit before calming down and standing still as she got on. The young Professor looked up at her once she was on the hippogriff and he smiled at her.

"Yes, I have flown on one before." he answered her softly. "It's a great feeling, when you're in the air. The wind hitting your face, flying on the water's surface, feeling the water splash on you." ur said, remembering when he was riding a hippogriff for the first time. "It's a great memory to have." he said softly. The hippogriff seemed ready to take off and Jake smiled again. "Remember to hold on tight." he told her, before telling the creature to go.

Cecilia game Jake a small smile as he spoke not really hearing what he said until the hippogriff started to move and she quickly took hold of some of its feathers. As it started to fly the smile on her face grew bigger. She began to giggle as it flew around and towards the lake. He had been right. It was fun. She ran her hand down the feathers of the hippogriff and as it flew closer to the water she let go and held her arms out like a little kid would when they were pretending to be an air plane. It really did feel like she was flying. But as if began to fly up again she took hold again so she wouldn’t fall off.

As the creature took off and flew away, he smiled as he thought that she would enjoy the ride on the hippogriff. Anyone would, after all not everyone got the chance to do that with a hippogriff and if they accepted you it was almost like a priviledge that they did that. He knew that they were fast creatures and dangerous ones at that, but with the experience he had as a beast specialist and the purity the hippogriff seemed to find him, he knew that there was no danger from the creature.

The hippogriff was now flying above the paddock again and Jake thought it was time for it to come back. He gave a short high-pitched whistle that was a signal for the hippogriff to come back into the paddock and it immediately flew lower and lower until it was back on the ground completely. To bring it back toward him, Jake jeld out a dead ferret that he gave the creature when it came close to him. "How was that?" he asked her. "Did you like the ride?" he added, and he extended his hand for her to take to help her off the hippogriff.

"yes, yes i did very much," cecilia said. Her eyes were sparkling and she had a huge smile on her face. carefully she placed her small dainty hand in the professors rather large and muscular one as she slid off the back of the hippogriff. "it felt as if i were flying!" the sixteen year old girl exclaimed and threw her arms around his neck, "Thank you soooooooo much." she screamed in his ear. "will we be doing thing else this fun?" she took a step back and smiled him dreamily.
as she look at him jake his face seemed to glow in the afternoon sunlight. it made him look even more wonderful. blushing cecilia took another step back and turned away from him too pet the hippogriff

"Hippogriffs are wonderful creatures." he smiled up at the hippogriff, who extended its wings and flapped them twice before replacing them back flat on its sides. As Cecilia threw her arms around his neck, he took a step back and hesitated in what to do. His arms remained at his sides as she hugged him and he stared out at the Forest. Soon he put his hands on her sides and pulled her away from him a bit. He didn't want anyone coming in and mistaking what they saw, it was best to be safe than sorry.

"You shouldn't be thanking me." he said, his face slightly hidden by his hair as he looked down a bit. "You should thank the hippogriff, it's the one who allowed you to ride it." the Professor told her, as he looked up at the creature without looking at her. Jake nodded a bit at her question and continued to look at the hippogriff. "Yes, we should be doing plenty of things like this through out the rest of the year." he answered her, gently petting the hippogriff, finally turning to look at her, giving her a small smile.

“Oh yeah!” Cecilia said turning toward the animal and hugged it just like she had the professor. “Thank you Hippogriff!” she said quietly, her voice was muffled by the feathers on its head. “You are such a wonderful and beautiful creature!” She released the creature’s neck and stepped back from in bumping into Jake. “You know you never told us his name.” She spoke softly to the professor. “This wonderful animal deserves a name. Don’t you think?” she patted it on the side
Cecilia felt funning being around Professor Collins. She couldn’t place the feeling but his presence made her feel a little warm and fuzzy in side. She thought she had felt this way before but she couldn’t remember for sure. Could she have? If she had who had she felt this way about? The feeling was good and she knew she had to feel it. She wasn’t going to be able to just leave it at talking to him during class. She had to spend time around him away from everyone else. For a second she wondered ‘Could this be love?’
