There was a peculiar scene that was around the shop, that no one knew the source of. It was strange and it was like a rotten mixed with dried blood scent that made him feel a bit ill. Still he knew he had to endure it, this was where he worked after all and he had to deal with anything that wasn't normal around the shop. At least he got to be around all these animals all the time. He loved animals and he was happy to work with them, even though it seemed like something he wouldn't do.
With all the noise around the shop he hadn't heard the bell above the door ring. "Calm down. Calm down, I'm not going to hurt you." he told a small kitten that apparently didn't trust him. He was supposed to be giving the cat a bath, and he just thought that was stupid. Why would you give a cat a bath? They hated water and he didn't think that they would get used to it even if you bathed them when they were young. The kitten hissed at him as he grabbed it gently and it scratched his hand hard. He immediately took his hands off the small creature and back off, showing it he wasn't going to hurt it.
Ryo looked down at his hand, that had a small scratch that was bleeding, he sighed and wiped his hand off with a napkin quickly. He turned away from the kitten, letting it calm down and he noticed someone at the counter. He wondered how long he had been there and Ryo walked up to the counter. As he approached the man he noticed it was one of the Professors and he smiled at him. "Sorry for making you wait. How may I help you Professor?" he asked him.
