One Step at a Time

The first thing Whight noticed when he opened the shop's door were the voices inside. When he followed Jack in he could see that Aaron was busy with a customer. Whight knew better than to interrupt, he he eyed Jack and suddenly made it look as if he was just another customer coming in to browse the shop. He knew Aaron wouldn't recognize him in the first place but he hoped the man had a good guess as to who he was by now.

Whight listened as he walked the shop waiting to hear the closure of the customer's interactions. Once the time had come and the customers had left, Whight approached Aaron with Jack at his side.

"I would like you to meet Jack. She has shown interest in our cause," he said with without expression.

Jack did not have time to register the name of the store as she apparated with Whight outside of it, but she did recognized the market environment that could only belong to Diagon Alley.Whight was already stepping inside the shop, though, so Jack followed, glancing around as she stepped inside. From all of the boxes, she already knew this was a shop that sold wands. So she was meeting a wandmaker? Or just a clerk?

Whight led her over to the man she was meeting and she felt a smirk unfurl onto her face. Oh. So this was who she was meeting. Jack found that her life was on a mission to throw everything back in her face, to make everything seem connected, to make it ironic. And she found that it had, once again, succeeded in doing so.

"Hello Aaron," she said in a friendly tone that did not really match her tough exterior. She looked at Whight. "We know each other," she explained. "Life's funny that way."
