Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Jess nodded and gave her a smile. "I know about the way things work here at Hogwarts as you do Amelia, but I think you'll go far... I hope you do anyway," he said to her, turning on his heels and beginning the walk back towards the confines of their home.

"But just a note. Whatever happens in the near future... just remain who you are, and don't let that change," He added, looking over at her before they arrived at the castle.

"Good night Amelia," he said, holding the door open for her before entering and making his way up to the Third Floor.

Her answer had been better than he'd hoped. Sure, if she'd swung to the other "Good" outcome he'd have had an extra hand to help in their fight, but it was a decidedly better outcome, in his own opinion, to know that someone's loyalty to the school, to the students, and to teaching, was placed on a pedestal above the petty conflicts that he was involved in. He would certainly sleep easier knowing that another staff member here at Hogwarts could see what was right, and what was correct.

Although Jess had no real authority at Hogwarts to ensure his words came true, Amelia still found them comforting. She had never really found peers at Hogwarts while she had been a student, from a mixture of intentionally pushing people away, and no one really understanding why Amelia acted the way she did. Mostly because they never asked.

“Thank you, Professor,” Amelia replied, to both his prediction of her future success and his suggestion that she remain just as she was. Amelia heard a lot from her parents about what she ought to be doing differently – like finding a suitable boyfriend or a job that didn’t belittle her so much as teaching – and she had heard plenty of whispers of how odd her behavior was from her student peers. But Jess had said what no one else ever did – that she ought to stay just as she was. It was such a foreign concept to Amelia that she didn’t know much else what to do than to say thank you, though she wasn’t sure she entirely believed his summary of her current scenario.

“And goodnight to you as well,” the younger professor added as she slipped through the door Jess held for her and turning toward the direction of Ravenclaw Tower. Jess gave her a brief nod before departing, and Amelia did not linger to be caught by Grindelwald’s security officers. Instead, she turned and made her way up the many steps, her mind distinctly more reassured now than she had been when she came downstairs. It was an odd feeling, but one Amelia didn’t quickly chase away.
