This is not socially acceptable

Piper wasn't sure why she was at this stupid party. Renny had not dragged her here, and she had not come to freak out her sister either. No, her sister was long gone, ran off to elope with that fruity dress maker. Piper was on her own, and it frustrated Piper that she really had nothing to do anymore, without her overbearing sisterly shadow.

However, she was hurting for money. Their grandmother was out of work and she refused to help Piper anyway. On top of that, she was still barely accepted by the other Slytherins. With everything in her life in such a delicate balance, she realized she had to move about with extreme caution. The pressure was on.

She slipped into the party, dressed for no good, and stopped by the kitchen to grab some Butterbeer. She hurried out and found a stairwell, hoping it might lead to some silence. She made her way upwards, pausing as she reached the second floor. Silver candlesticks lying on a table, never going to be used she bet...

She slipped them into her bag. She was not a clepto. But she was poor, and she could sell them at a pawn shop for a good amount of money, she was sure. She heard a creaking of a stair, and hurried on, glancing over her shoulder. She made her way into the first room she could, which turned out to be another small dining area, complete with a bar. She collapsed at a barstool, trying to look casual in case anyone followed her.

Roxi held her hands folded behind her back, with a smile as sweet and innocent as she could muster on her face. The adults were in the kitchen, blocking her path to the Firewhiskey and she needed to get them to leave her alone with the drinks. It was hard to look sweet and innocent, though, when one was wearing such a loud outfit.

Still, Roxi was not one to give up. She smiled and nodded when addressed, her toes itching within her heels to get moving. Finally, they moved aside, deciding to look at some painting or something, inviting her to come look as she would like the lesson in art. "Okay! I'm going to grab a soda really quick, be there in a jiffy!"

They finally left and she seized the bottle of whiskey and poured herself a good swallow into a chilled mug. She filled it to the brim and pushed her way out of the kitchen and into the next room, where music was being loudly played and older Hogwarts kids and younger graduates all danced and yelled above the music. She grinned, looking for fun.

Whgiht arrived at the party with his old professor. As always the old man claimed to have business to take care of. Whight suddenly stood alone in the entrance of the mansion as a man approached to take his coat. It was a simply gesture of host mannerisms but rarely did anyone touch his belongings. He politely dismissed the man with a wave of a hand and proceeded forward.

He first grabbed a drink to feel less awkward as he walked around the party; something to hide behind. He seen everyone having a wonderful time; some in smalltalk, many heading from room to room, while others engaged in the festive activities that Whight had no interest in getting involved with.

He rested his shoulder on an archway in the center of all the chaos, took a drink and scanned the crowd. He wondered if he would see anyone he knew but he doubted it; he looked different as usual. The party was filled with mostly those who went or had went to Hogwarts and Whight knew very few of its students'. Still he waited, maybe the professor would return soon.

Andrew hadn't really arrived to be the life of the party, but rather to get out of his nihilist attitude that he had at the moment. He wasn't exactly sure if he was supposed to be wearing something casual for the party, so he just wore an outfit that seemed good for a good celebration. He felt a little uncomfortable about dressing in the way he did, but he figured he dressed to impress.

Andrew walked towards near one of the tables that had a variety of snacks and beverages and saw a bowl that contained fruit punch. He walked over to the table and poured some of the punch into the cup and held it at chest height as he turned around and looked at the people. There was some average looking people and there was some that seemed pretty insane. Not to mention just the usual anonymous people that danced loudly to the music. The beat was infectious, but right now he didn't want to dance.

He held the drink up to this lips and took a small swig of the punch, the liquid not too sweet and not too sour. It was darn good punch. Andrew continued to scan the room, to perhaps see someone familiar or someone that seemed interesting to talk to.

Andrian decided to go out and have a little fun today instead of moping around the house all day. He put on his best clothes he could find and went out for the night. He wasn't too fussy with his look today, figured he just picked what he thought looked good and whack them on. He looked at the mirror once more before he left; he felt somewhat comfortable with his choice of clothings. He smiled and sighed and started to grab his wand, his waltet and his phone with him, he apparated outside the mansion

Andrian reapparated outside the mansion and stood there for a second, looking at the mansion and began to smile. He knew this was going to be a good night. Andrian looked at his watch to check the time and looked around to see if Sophia had arrived yet, but she was no where to be seen. 'Must be inside,' he thought to himself.

Taking a step forward he made his way into the mansion and stood at the entrace scanning the room if he could spot Sophia. She was still no where to be found, he shrugged his shoulder and spotted Andrew helping himself to a drink, near the snack and beverage table. Andrian smiled and began to walk towards him, he was glad to see him. 'Hey, Andrew!' he grinned, patting him on the back, 'Long time no see,' he said. 'Looking good,' he complimented, taking his time to check out his suit as he held his arm out for a friendly hug. 'How ya been?' he added

Andrew continued to scan the room for anyone that looked familiar, not being successful in his endevaor. That is, until he heard a familiar voice originating from his left. When Andrew turned his head, he noticed that Andrian had been standing nearby. "Hey Andrian," he smiled, placing his left hand in his jacket pocket. "And thank you, I had no idea as to what the code was for this party, so I said what the hell." Andrew took another drink of the punch before beginning his next sentence. "And I've been alright, just hanging in there I suppose. Hey, could I speak to you later about something important?"

Recently, Andrew had come upon some dire news that shook his entire world. He knew Andrian would need to know this information and decided to let him know, yet Andrew hadn't been successful in finding him. "How have you been anyway? Still with Sophia?" He wondered how she had been as well, seeing as how the last time they had spoken had been...what, 6 months ago? Maybe a year? He was never good with time.

"Oh god, my students are here... this party is so lame." Was just one of the thoughts to cross Jess' mind as he crossed the threshold of a particularly fine looking mansion that had pretty much appeared out of nowhere in order to provide accommodation for what seemed to be the official Hogwarts New Years Eve party.

Still, there he was, lame or no lame, students or no students, dressed (thank god) in an outfit which... ok, he wasn't being himself, he hated what he was wearing, but the idea was that OTHER people would not hate what he was wearing.

Anyway, all that remained was to find a corner, or an empty room, and blend like there was no tomorrow... or just give in (as he usually did) and join in with the festivities, making a total ass of himself in the meantime and hope to dear god that everyone thought that everything he did was completely intentional.

His mind was made up for him when a passing drink offered itself to him. He wasn't sure how the drink had come to be in his hand or where it had come from, but soon enough the glass was empty and he was looking for another.

"Sorry," he muttered, stepping on Whight's toes as he pushed through the clouded house in search of a goddamned drink.

Sophia heard about the New Year party and decided what the heck she might as well go for it could be really fun. As she was fianlly ready to go she grabbed her wand and put it into her purse and kiss her kids goodbye before apperating to the party. As she appeared on the grounds of the mansion she looked at the mansion and gasped. It was so big and beautiful Sophia was sure she was going to have one heck of a time here. "Wow... looks so big and beautiful."said Sophia to herself as she walked up the stairs of the mansion as her cream dress dragged behind her as she walked.

Sophia was wearing a long cream dress that showed her curves with her hair in a bun with her bangs to the side of her face. Her make-up was light but elegant for she believed in natural beauty, she was wearing two braclets and her locket and earrings all Andrian gave her. Scanning the room for Andrian or anyone she knew she smiled when she spotted him talking to Andrew by the snacks and drinks. Walking arcoss the room she finally reached them and gave them a soft warm smile. "Hello love, sorry I'm late but I didn't know what to wear so I decided to look nice for you and you look very sharp and handsome as always."said Sophia softly as she kissed his cheek. As she turned to Andrew she flashed him her famous soft warm smile. "Hello Andrew, long time no see you look nice."said Sophia softly.


Sophia knew this was going to be a good night for her boyfriend and friend was here so she knew she was going to have a good time. If only more of her friends could come that would be great if they did for the party looked really amazing and fun. If they didn't come, Sophia would tell them they would be missing out greatly missing the party.

Jess found himself, or rather found a drink then forget where he was, in a state of bliss for a few more minutes before he drained yet another goblet of alcohol... yup, it was going to be one of those nights.

Still, he held his drink quite well, and the night was young, there was no point letting the kiddies become accustomed to him early on in the evening when he could store all his scare right up until the eleventh hour, when the kids could literally lose their socks.

Anyway, where was I... I mean he, where was Jess.

"Sophia," Jess cried out, spotting his friend entering the room in a lovely dress which immediately made him feel a little underdressed. "Happy New Year!" He shouted, pushing a child away by the face as he finally reached the clump of people he knew. "Oh and Andrian and Andrew, Happy New Year to you as well!" He cried out, throwing his hands into the air as he spoke.

Well well, maybe he wasn't as in control as he thought he was... what was in those goblets anyway?

Andrew looked over his shoulder to see Jess pushing a child away, who eventually stumbled into the wall. Andrew shook his head and said "Hey Jess, why don't you just punt the kids? They go for more distance." He turned back to Andrian and Sophia, a slight smile on his face. Being in Hogwarts all the time was draining. He couldn't leave like he usually could do to the uptight security and he could not go see his friends in the outside world. "Nice to see you as well Sophia," he said to her direction "you look ravishing tonight."

Andrew looked around once more, hoping to see another familiar face. He was sure Jack or Chase wouldn't be here, an absolute bummer. He wanted to see those two. He also wondered if Miseria would show up, but knowing her, she probably wouldn't want to wear some extravagant dress or anything like that. He still searched however. "Well since both you and Sophia are here," he said, his voice directed to Andrian "Danny might still be alive." Just saying that sent a shiver through his spine.
