Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

The day had been long and boring. Really boring. All day long Leaila had nothing to do, something she wasn't used to. Every day there was always at least one person who needed medical care, but today it was dead. No one had come to her. It was all so weird, but she needed the rest. Maybe she should've just taken the day off, and gone out to do something else for a while. It would've been better than doing nothing, and sitting there waiting for something, no matter how small it was, to come up for her. But nothing happened all day, everything went to everyone else.

She sighed and waited near the receptionist's desk, her mind wandering to the girl she had previously attended. It hadn't been more than a week since she last saw Malowney, and Leaila was already very worried about her again. The girl suffered from some kind of visions, and no one knew what was going on. Leaila knew Mal wasn't a Seer, so that couldn't be the case here, and if they were something she could handle, Mal wouldn't have come here to be attended by another Healer, since she is one.

But the fact that these visions were a mystery to everyone really worried her. Something must be very wrong with the girl, and Leaila was now determined to find out what it was that was causing the poor girl to see these visions. So far she'd had no luck in finding answers for this, and that's why maybe she wasn't getting any work. Maybe it was because everyone wanted her to focus on what was wrong with Malowney. Well if that was what they wanted, the that was what Leaila was going to focus on.

It had started innocently - or, rather, as close to innocence as he had ever truly come. A single, 330ml bottle of beer, and a worn deck of tarot cards. But it hadn’t taken long for him to grow bored of the foul taste of cheap alcohol, or repeatedly riffling his deck of cards. With ease, he’d convinced himself that the importance of hard liquor outweighed that of clean laundry, or soap. And so, it was with the money that would have funded said necessities that he’d purchased a bottle of Vodka from the nearest liquor store.

But Nemo quickly learned that the distributor of his alcohol had begun to subtract from the bottle’s size. He had stared down the empty container with one, straining eye in search of the liquid that had once filled it, but to no avail.

Soon, rent too was no longer of import. Followed shortly by food, which had been the only expense that Nemo had given up with reluctance. Until, alas, Nemo had littered the floor of his makeshift fortune teller’s tent with an assortment of various, emptied bottles. And it was on the same floor that Nemo too had crumbled in a heap of untidy hair and his shabby clothing, which that had absorbed the rank smell of his vise.

A customer had found him that way, and with wide eyes and a scream lingering at the back of her throat, she had gathered Nemo in her arms and apperated to St. Mungo’s. It was fortunate that Nemo had made the decision to drink the fatal drop whilst he’d been in the presence of folk of the same blood as he, for there was no other hospital that could have resurrected Nemo Omara that evening. Only those with magic on their side could have been of any surface to him at that stage of his desperation.

“Help! Please, help us!” the young witch shrieked as her knees connected loudly with the Hospital’s polished floors. Despite the fact that her lips had ghosted mere inches above Nemo’s right ear as she’d screamed, however, she was of no bother to him. Her every cry went unheard as his crumpled form remained limp in her arms. “He’s dead! Please – somebody!” the woman proceed, while Nemo dreamed of nothing but the darkest shade of black.

Hearing a scream coming from someone, was enough to bring Leaila back from her thoughts and she quickly ran to the young witch's side. She saw the man that the young woman had in her arms and she gasped. "What happened to him?" was the first thing she asked, but without waiting for an answer she quickly got up and brought a gurney. "We have to place him there!" she said, and quickly got him onto the gurney. What was she going to do now? The witch continued to scream about him being dead and Leaila quickly began to check if he was, in fact dead. With a relived sigh and she looked back at the witch and shook her head. "No, he's not dead." she told her. "Just unconscious, but he could be if we don't do anything right now." she said and she quickly got him to a room.

"Hey Lea, looks like you finally got work..." the receptionist said. Leaila quickly looked back at her and shook her head. "Not now." was all she said and she ran into the room, after telling the woman to wait out here if she liked. Leaila was actually kind of scared right now. She hadn't done much in the week after she had attended Malowney and now she was kind of confused as to what she was supposed to do. She just knew she had to calm down and take things slow. She had to remember her training, it was all she had to help her. At least this was something she could fix easily, if she calmed down, unlike what was going on with Malowney.

She quickly shook her head and cleared her mind of any thoughts that had nothing to do with what was going on now. Those thoughts would only distract her. She took him off the gurney with help from one of the nurses that was there and gently set him on the bed in the room. She instructed the nurse to take the gurney back to where it came, and to ask the woman who brought this man in if she knew what happened to him. Or to at least explain how she found him. Then nurse nodded and quickly left the room, leaving Leaila alone there with the unconscious man.

Leaila took a deep breath and took out her wand. The first thing she was going to have to do is make sure his vital signs were good. After she did this, she needed to know what was actually wrong with the man. "Expertus..." she whispered. He was in this condition because he had been drinking so much... Leaila shook her head and sighed. It's always something like that... she chuckled softly and continued on her work. Okay so she knew what was wrong with him, and she was sure his vital signs were fine, so now what? "I guess it's time to bring him back..." she said softly to herself. She pointed her wand at his chest and said, "Rennervate."
