Quidditch Team Sign Up

I can't believe I'm doing this... Amelia thought incredulously as she reached up to pin the sheet of parchment she had been carrying to the Ravenclaw House announcements board in the Common Room. Of all the people to be making this posting, Amelia Lyons would have been at the very bottom of everyone's list of predictions, and yet here she was, as Head of Raveclaw, posting the quidditch sign up. Sadly, she had managed to avoid the temptation of writing something snarky about how everyone in Ravenclaw ought to be smart enough not to want to get themselves killed, and instead had stuck with something simple and formal.

Kane slowly walked up to the noticeboard and saw quidditch team signup and his eyes sparkled, he grabbed a pen he found just lying on the floor, wrote a medium well cursive signature and then threw the pen back on the ground and walked off..

Kevin walked into the common room and found a flyer for Qudditch Sign Up. "Hmm...." he said as he thought about which position he should sign up for. His mother at least told him one thing about his dad: He was a great seeker. Kevin also thought of the broomstick that was left at home for him if he ever played Quidditch. He was never really interested in it but now that the opportunity was on a piece of paper right in front of him, he thought it was pretty cool. Kevin grabbed the pen and wrote his name and "Seeker" next to it. Though first years rarely got chosen, he thought he could try a Harry Potter, though Kevin's in Ravenclaw.. Ravenclaw Seeker.... Wouldn't that be great.. he thought.

Amelia was in a rush as she breezed through the Ravenclaw common room, completing her duties as Head of House and checking up on her charges. Everything was quiet for the time being, save for a few groups of students studying near the windows and fireplace. At least Amelia had been lucky enough to be charged with the House that was famous for their intelligence and studious nature - less likely to get into trouble.

Before she left, though, Professor Lyons stopped by the notice board to check on the quidditch sign-up she had placed a few weeks earlier. It seemed her house was smarter even than she gave them credit for, because so few of them had signed up to kill themselves on little pieces of wood. Pulling a piece of parchment and a quill from her pocket, Amelia made a quick note of those that had already signed up, before adding a quick note to the bottom of the sign up itself.


And with that, the redheaded professor breezed from the room, making a mental note to store this bit of parchment away with the rest of her files on her Ravenclaw duties.

If there is more than one person wishing to play the same positions, tryouts will be held. The position will be awarded to the individual who rolelplays best in the position. As of right now, though, there is no competition, and thus I am immediately assigning you to your requested position.

As Jack walked into the common room, yawning after sleeping for a long while, he looked at the notice board, something he hadn't done in a long while. It was then that he noticed the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team Sign-Up Sheets. He grinned devilishly, and sprinted away, and up to his room, where he rummaged around in his small desk for a pen or something to write with. Finally, after finding one that was barely able to write, he scribbled his name, year, and the position he wanted to play. Finally, after grinning and clicking the men closed, he trotted off.

Callum walked in and saw the notice for the Ravenclaw quidditch team. He pulled out his quill and signed:
Callum Smith, Beater, 1st year.

Carys watched from her spot on the windowsill of the common room as Jack scrawled his name on the signup sheet before sprinting away, followed by a first year nonchalantly adding his own. Carys has to admit, the first year had some confidence, it wasn't often that first years were chosen for the team. She couldn't help hoping that the boy would be chosen for confidence alone if nothing else.

Carys waited until nobody else was around the sheet before moving herself from her seat and carefully adding her own name to the list,

Carys Silvers, Chaser, Fourth Year.

She smiled as she went over the other names, this is why she had waited so long to sign up, she had been too curious to see who else might be on the team. She crossed her fingers hiding in her sleeve, hoping that she would get picked.
