Naomi typically did not do this. It was true, that the climate of their world was changing, but it had not changed so much that she could go out into the public without a disguise and have nothing to fear… Yet. Sure, the Aurors were inadequate, but there was still always the risk that there was someone out there who posed a threat to her way of life.
Soon, however, her way of life would be encouraged. Felix had informed her that things were going to get better for them. Finally. They had been pushed down, trodden upon, and then when they had tried to get their revenge, they had been attacked tenfold. But soon they were going to get their due revenge, give the people what they finally deserved. She just had to wait a little while longer.
Given all that, she rarely went out on her own. She could not afford to. Felix needed her. She typically sent her pack out to do small errands, since they were only known and wanted when they were in their wolfish forms. So if she went out, it was for a good reason. Not just to go out for a drink in the Hog’s Head. It was too much of a risk.
But honestly… she was going nuts cooped up there. And lately, she had not had too much of a reason to get anymore. So she straightened her hair, put on some makeup to look her tanner, and had put on a long black cloak, fixing the hood tightly over her head so no one would be able to recognize her. And then she had apparated there.
So now she sat there, at the far end of the bar so she could observe everyone else in the bar. She was hoping to overhear something that she might find useful in the future, but who knew. She nursed her Scotch, her sharp eyes moving between the other occupants, simply enjoying the fact that she was not flanked by one of her pack members and she was out of the house.
