GENERAL APPEARANCE: Monica usually wears short-sleeve shirt, and pants. Since she is half spanish and from Spain, she likes to show that is is proud of her heritage, and she wears clothes that have colors from Spain. But she won't get caught dead in skirts by her friends.
She has long dirty blond hair and light green eyes. She is about 5'7 and she is rather thin compared to most of those in her family. No one really knows why she is so thin, since she eats just about as much as everyone else in the family.

PERSONALITY: To most people, especially her friends, Moni is a tomboy. But when she's home and only with her family she is more of a girly-girl and she loves fashion. She is always designing clothes and things of the sort, but only when she's alone. She doesn't let anyone see her designs anymore. After the death of her brother she sort of withdrew to herself, and she won't even talk to Alex much.
Even though she blamed Alex for their brother's death, she can't help but feel it was her fault. She is the oldest, it was her job to keep Juan safe since he was the youngest, and she feels she failed him. She just can't forgive herself, even though it wasn't her fault, and she took it out on Alex by blaming him.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Early Years: Monica was born in Madrid, Spain into a wizarding family, her father was an African american, her mother was a Spaniard woman. She has a younger brother named Alexander, and they have had a sort of sibling rivalry since the day Alex was born. Moni was alway jealous of Alex and even more so when they dicovered he could solve mysteries unlike she could. That was one area where Monica could never out do Alex and this made her mad. But she found a way to out do him with her voice. She can sing better than he can and she learned a language he could not, Japanese.
Monica was just about ten years old when her youngest brother was born. She felt a certain attachment to Juan that she didn't feel with Alex, and she began to take care of him with her mother. More than she ever did with Alex.
Hogwarts Years: When Monica got her letter to Hogwarts, she was so excited, and she felt a rather superior feeling toward Alex. She would be the first one to go to the school, but he would soon follow, she knew. During Moni's first year of Hogwarts, she was rather shy and didn't trust many people. But as the year progressed she got used to the school, and soons he had a group of friends, with whom she did everything with.
One of these friends she had was a vampire, and she didn't know. One day it seemed he just lost control of himself and he tried to attack those in the group. Everyone ran away from him, except Monica, who tried to calm him down by showing him she wasn't going to run. He lunged at her pinned her against the wall and bit her, turning her into a vampire. Monica doesn't remember this night, all she remembers it waking up the next morning, with him next to her and blood all around them.
After a vacation in Okinawa, Monica began to devote even more of her free time to her brother, Juan, and to her friends. Of course she kept her grades up, as she started her third year in Hogwarts. She never really gave much attention to boys and dating, so it was easy to keep her grades the way her parents wanted them to be. When she turned fifteen and her youngest brother was about to go to Hogwarts, he had decided to follow Alex on one of his mysteries without telling anyone. Monica didn't know that he hadn't told Alex, and when she didn't see him in their house she figured he was with his brother, but she was worried about him either way. During that mystery Juan was killed and Monica felt like it was her fault. But she blamed it all on Alex and after that she refused to talk to him, and became very distant from him.
