Julien thought that Judas was being nice. There was no need to brush him off or make things awkward not that the confession was supposedly out. He smiled as he reached a hand to his hair again, as if needing some assurance of its sanity up there. The boy's eyes trailed to one of the acrobats who was at a high stand, stretching in the most impossible of ways. An eyebrow cocked up as he found himself amused at one of the positions. Too bad he did not have a face to complement that body. Julien looked away as soon as the performer stood from his position to survey the crowd of people watching him. Pity, really.
Thankfully, Judas spoke on a subject that held an interest for Julien. "It's stupid, isn't it? Useless dying. So many have said that if they won this war, the world would be a better place. Well they've had so many chances, and I don't see how the world has become better through these. It only gets worse. The fighting is just an excuse for bloodshed. There is no proper reason to justify both sides. Of course, though, it's obvious that the Death Eaters are more warped than the others. But fighting them all these while has reaped nothing." Julien stopped, thinking about how his father had died just to try to fight for better. Well, the fighting forced him to grow without a father. At least Julien had him for several years. Sometimes blessings needed to be counted.
"You're meeting the Minister of Magic? Wow." It sounded serious to Julien, for a common student to have a meeting with the Minister just like that. Perhaps, then, Judas was not that common. This finally caught the interest of the boy. He reached a hand out to squeeze the other boy's arm, a random move that was perhaps meant to calm him from the sudden tone of anger that Julien detected in his voice. "What career might that be, if I may ask?"
