What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures

The second largest department in the Ministry of Magic
works tirelessly day and night to ensure that our world
is kept safe and that the Statute of Secrecy is upheld.
The Department for the Regulation and Control of
Magical creatures is the governing body of Beings,
Beasts and Spirits. Our intention is to keep both
those who are human and those who aren't safe
and to be able to do this, we need you.



Head of Department - OPEN
The Head of Department is the official leader of the Department for the
Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. The Head oversees the
whole department, signs off on important legal documents concerning
the documents and makes the final decisions on proposals made by
his/her colleagues.


Being Specialists - Apply today!
Open
These employees specialise in Magical Creatures classed as 'Beings'
by the Ministry of Magic. The definition of Being is "any creature that
has sufficient intelligence to understand the laws of the magical
community and to bear part of the responsibility in shaping those
laws" and any Magical Creature that falls into the Being bracket is
observed and looked after by these specialists. Wizards, Witches,
Muggles, Goblins, Vampires, Hags, Giants, House-Elves, Veela, and
Werewolves [in their human form] all fall into this category. People in
this Department work with all of these Magical Creatures, doing things
from Werewolf-Wizard Relations to keeping an eye on Underage Magic.


Beast Specialists - Apply today!
OPEN
These employees specialise in Magical Creatures classed as 'Beasts'
by the Ministry of Magic. A Beast is a Magical Creature that does not have
sufficient intelligence to understand the laws of the Magical Community nor bear
part of the responsibility in shaping those laws and any Magical Creature that
falls into this bracket is observed and looked after by these specialists. Magical
Creatures such as transformed Werewolves, Ghouls, Dragons, Centaurs,
Merpeople, Hippogriffs, Thestrals, Dementors, Basilisks and Chimeras. Those
who work in this department work with all of these Magical Creatures, doing
jobs from improving Centaur-Human relations to working with the Werewolf
Capture Unit.


Spirit Specialists - Apply today!
OPEN
These employees specialise in Magical Creatures classed as 'Spirits'
by the Ministry of Magic. The word 'Spirit' is used to catalogue the members of
the Wizarding World that are spirit-like in state. These particular specialists will
work with Ghosts, Poltergeists, Gytrashes, Nymphs and Boggarts. Those who
work in this department do anything from welcoming Ghosts into 'the afterlife'
to regulating Nymphs and catching Boggarts.


Magical Creature Healers - Apply today!
OPEN
These employees specialise in all Magical Creatures. They seek to not
only cure Magical Creatures of current ailments but they also look for
long-term solutions to illnesses that afflict all Magical Creatures. They
study DragonPox in Wizards and Witches and explore the effects the
Werewolf bite has on the Human body. They are the Magical version
of a vet but they do much more than that. They not only cure with
what they know but the they seek to cure by creating new medicines.


Secretaries, Interns and Personal Assistants - Apply today!
OPEN
These employees are, basically, the help. They sort through the post
that comes through, go out in search of coffee and make sure that
whoever they are assign to are on time for everything. They truly
are an important part of the department though they are often
overlooked by nearly everyone. They are they gel that keeps the
department together and this is the best place to start if you want
to move up through the Ministry.

Reason for application: Selene wants to work her way up through the Ministry, and feels that this would be the place that would most likely help her to succeed in doing so. This will help her to get the experience she needs, as well as to take a look at other departments, and to get a feel for how the Ministry is run. She does enjoy working for animals, and is very organized in what she does. It has been her dream to work in the Ministry, and she realizes to get to the top, she has to start small.

Department Position: Magical Creature Healers
Reason for application: Chase had always wanted to be a healer at St. Mungos, but after a LOT of thinking, and some inspiration from letters sent to the Graduates of Hogwarts, she realized there is something different she wants to be. And that is a Magical Creature Healer. Chase LOVES working with Creatures, she loves healing, and she loves helping people. In a way, she can do everything she has always loved (And been good at doing) in a nutshell. She got good marks in Care of Magical Creatures, Potions, and Herbology, and even took an internship at St. Mungos, so she knows about healing, and knows what needs to be done to help anything.. she is patient when needed to be, and with a bit of practice, will be skilled at what she puts her mind too.

Reason for application: The last thing Jamie wants to do for a job is sitting behind a desk. Working with animals is exiting and active. From the beginning of her Hogwarts years Jamie was fasenated with the schools ghosts. To the extent where she actually liked history of magic just to study Professor Binns. Over her tine in school she was most interested in the ghosts and afterlife than any other subject. She is not death obsessed, but they amaze her.
