Big Brothers and Cranky Sisters

Wally rolled her eyes and seized the mug again, preferring to drink rather than listen to her idiotic brother try to get on her good side. She was glad she had made him buy her a Butterbeer- even though she had the stolen money in her pocket and could have easily paid for it herself. The drink was not supposed to be for thirteen year olds, and she felt a thrill at drinking it.

At his words, she opened her mouth ready to inform him that she could easily leave AND stay away from Mum, but his sentence was detected as a mild threat- as in, if you leave, I'll tell Mum where you went. She closed her mouth and looked pointedly at the table. "Fine," she said briefly, grabbing the mug and taking another long sip.

He continued to press matters and she sighed, setting down her mug harshly. There was no reasoning with him. She dropped hers arms onto the table and rested her cheek against them. "Whatever," she mumbled.

Larko, not having in any way meant things as a threat, leaned back in his seat. "Wow, she shut up for once. I think I should get an award for that." He looked over at her. "I don't see why you've got to be such a little B**** all the time. Grow up a little. I don't see why you have to act like a six year old who didn't get her way." He was deliberately baiting her, waiting to see if she would act as immature as he was accusing her of being.

Flipping his coin, he took a water bottle out of his pack this time and drank it more slowly, having downed his mountain dew.

Wally stared at her brother. Where the hell did that come from? She did not want to be around him and he was forcing her to stay, and then he got mad because she wasn't all lovey dovey about the the whole deal? She stared blankly at him, which would freak out most people- Why did it seem like Wally had no emotion. She blinked and stood up.

"Bye," was all she said. She grabbed the mug and swigged the rest of the drink, stinging her senses pleasantly before she set down the mug. She stood and strode across the pub, squeezing between groups, wondering if the Shrieking Shack would be secluded at this time of day. That would be splendid.
