After stopping to chat and play a few games with some younger kids, Jeremy once again found himself browsing past the windows of various shops and pubs in Hogsmeade. He really liked days like these when he could just stroll around without a care in the world. Well, that's how he acted most of the time anyway. But it was nice not having teachers, his grandfather, or his older sister to tell him that he was being too happy and perhaps to calm down. Jeremy doubted it would have mattered anyway. It was days like this where he felt invincible, like nothing could ruin his good mood.
The Ravenclaw stared down the path that lead to the Shrieking Shack with wonder. Oh, how he'd love to go in there someday. Definitely soon, but perhaps today was not the right day. Not when he was so full from the Honeydukes candy with so many more things he needed to buy.
Deciding it was time for a break and that he should probably sit down for a while, Jeremy turned away from the path and trodded over to the Leaky Cauldron, his favorite place to just sit around when he didn't really feel like doing anything. The boy pushed open a door, nearly hitting someone with it. He hurriedly apologized and searched for a place to sit. He wasn't really hungry or thirsty; no need to order something from the bar this time. There were many tables open now, but Jeremy felt like striking up a conversation with someone. Spotting a table with one other occupant who seemed around his age, Jeremy approached, smiling. "Hello," he gretted the girl, extending his hand. "I'm Jeremy. Do you mind if I keep you company for a bit?"
