Hello! (Newbie)

Hi everyone.
Gosh I never know what to say in these things.

I suppose the standard stuff.
This isn't my first RP site, but it is my first Harry Potter RP site, and it's my first in quite awhile. The last time I RPed was on a halo forum (I know right, mock me now, but at least it was Call of Duty) and that was probably about 2-3 years ago. As such I'm a little bit rusty right now, but hopefully that'll clear up soon enough.

Anyway, I look forward to RPing with all of you, I looked at your canon list and apparently I'll be a 5th year Gryffindor (If I'm approved!!)

So what's the go around here? Where's the fun places to RP? I personally like to do big group RPs, because that way I can meet everyone and see how they interact, but I didn't see many big topics around your site? Any reason for that?

Oh and my name is actually Lachlan. I'm just not creative with names. See you out there!

Welcome to PA, I'm Jess the Head Admin on the site, as you probably gathered from the automatic PM you would've received when registering. You're right in that we are lacking in big topics, it's a personal peeve of mine, but never fear, I am trying to bring them back around, I agree that they're the best way to have proper interaction for characters, but a lot of people here seem to disagree. :/

But yes, it's nice to meet you Lachlan. You're right, Halo RPs are quite shun-able, but I can't speak for I started out on one, all those years ago when I began RPing.

I look forward to RPing with you man, It's always nice to see new members come join us on the site

Hey Lachlan, I'm Amelia. I'm not an admin or any other fancy title that sites like these tend to bestow, but I have been a member for several years now and have about six years of roleplay experience (all Harry Potter, though I will not begrudge you your Halo roots).

I'm usually around here and there, so if you want to RP, just catch me in the cbox or send me a PM. I read through your application and it sounds like you've got a really solid character going.

Also, just as a random answer to your question from your application, the similar threads links on these types of sites are really just a forum thing that allows different forums to interconnect. They really have no bearing on relatedness of topic, so I'm thinking Halo and Harry Potter just happen to have come up on the algorithm together.

But, as I said, welcome!

Haha, thanks Amelia, it's nice to meet you. I'm not an admin either so I wont begrudge that of you either, but thanks for the comments on my application, it's a bit of a slap job actually, I never really liked doing applications, I preferred to let my characters develop without the constraints of a preset application.

And thanks for that, I wasn't sure what It was, but I'd actually just read something about it in your site's help section.

Nice meeting you too Cecilia/Alana. Sorry if you didn't want a brother, you weren't on the canon list as your application wasn't finished, and I only realised that she'd been made when I'd already started my character. But I look forward to having an RP sister

Also sorry for not finishing my application, big weekend, and my internet was capped so I took forever to load any pages, then gave up haha.

Its okay Lachlan i have two other rp brothers so you'll fit in just fine. if i hadn't had wanted an rp sibling i would have chosen a character who didn't have a brother or sister.
