There were not many days where Alexis was happy or even smiling. But today was one of those unusual days when she was actually happy. Even though it was a dark, rainy day she was sitting in the Ravenclaw common room, smiling and singing to herself. She was singing one of her favorite songs, I write sins not tragedies by Panic! At The Disco. She always enjoyed singing this particular song when she was bored. Though there was one line of Lyrics that she didn't particularly like.
What a shame the poor groom's bride is a whore
Only because of the last word of this line she had lost a bit of interest in the song. But she still sang it, when she was bored. She wanted to practice, so that if she ever got the chance(that is if she didn't faint) to sing in front of a crowd she would be ready. Most people she knew now said it was a shame that she couldn't sing in front of a lot of people. It was such a shame to let her talent go to waste. But it was something she couldn't change.
Lex stared out of the nearest window, watching the rain falling moving with the wind that blew the leaves on the blooming trees. It had been raining for quite a while, and somehow the gloom of the day had not succeeded in ruining her happy mood. But it appeared to ruin everyone else's day. There were shouts of aggrivation coming from here and there, saying that it was one of the worst days they have had. There screams made Lex smile, since she was basically the only one to still be happy. Now that she noticed it(she finally looked away from the window) the common room was empty and it was even more silent than she had realized. She sighed and looked back out of the window.
