Activity Slump

Any reason why activity has fallen over the past 5 days?
We're doing a quarter of what we were doing this time last month (Just after the update)
And we're doing half what we were doing this time last week.

Why the slump PAers? I don't know how we're going to do plot things with 50 posts a day.

I dunno, maybe people are working on finishing school. Like me

well i have volleyball, going out with friends, hanging with cousins, and a wierd sort of grounding on top of trying to learn algebra on the computer and stuff like that so sorry i havent been on

I was just wondering, I figured it must've been owed to the end of school year for the Americans and UK people.

Still, I hope it gets active again soon. Perhaps we should delay our events?

There's no harm in putting it off. We've had quite a few people post in comings & goings over the last week, and it will give threads that are supposed to take place before the big battle time to finish off.

BTW, Jess, last I checked there was no battle check in in the Manor. Maybe it would be useful to do a general one in the plot discussion forum since there are going to be other characters, like school children, involved?

You're right, I've not done that just yet have I.

Umm. Is it worth it to do a battle check or should we just let it play out a little? I really think that every single student should be involved in some way, same for every staff member, even if it's just to say that they're not participating, and are running to Hogsmeade.

I don't know. On sites I've been on in the past where we had big battles like the death eaters attacking the school, there would just be one or two open threads where the attack happened, and if you wanted to be in it, you'd post there.

I think it would also depend on how the death eaters are getting into the school.

That's the way I prefer to run things as well, large open threads, they're a personal preference.

As for their entrance I believe that their are two alternatives for the order of escalation

1. PA and DF fight breaks out of hand
2. Order is called and arrives to try and seize control while there is unrest in the castle
3. Death Eaters arrive having heard about the Order invasion of the castle (Probably via agents in Hogsmeade or via protective spells around the school which'll alert them)

OR

1. PA and DF fight breaks out of hand
2. Death Eaters arrive to break up the fight and assert their control over Hogwarts
3. PA calls the order and they arrive.

Whichever of those happens the Aurors will arrive after both the other grad factions have arrived.

Should Neutrals be able to participate, do you think?

definitely. Just because a character is neutral doesn't mean they don't have opinions or won't react when something like that happens. It just means they're not extreme enough to have joined a faction officially.

Oh I know that they should be, it's simply the logistics of how they'd find out about the battle in time, and how they'd arrive when they're not traveling with the large groups of OoTP and DEs.
