PA Advert Wanted

Hey PAers.

I'm rubbish with the whole graphics thing, and not to strong with the whole internet advertising thing either. Unlike a lot of you I don't have the 10000 previous sites, and the PR experience that comes with that, so I've never actually made an advert for a site.

So I'm asking if one of you charming people would be happy to make one. Just think about what most site's adverts normally are, if they don't usually come in the form of a graphic advert then don't do one, but if someone would be happy to make one for us to spread around the internet, it would be greatly appreciated.

Whoever makes the best one will be given a special prize, I'll think one up by the time they start to come in (If they start to come in) but I'll make sure that it's a worthwhile one, not something like 8435837 sickles. (Which you'll never use)

What do you want on it? Usually ads have a plot rundown, links to the index, application, rules & advertising and sometimes even features. What makes Potter's Army different that you'd like to highlight in your ad?

and how do you want it coded? Do you want just bbcode, or do you want one code for general sites, one for IF one for forumotion, one for HTML, etc?

Also, some sites turn off images for guests, so you probably don't want just one image for the entire ad. A banner link along with text is your safest bet.

Mmm, I was thinking either the entire plot, or a summarised one if that's too long, as well as a link to the site. I don't think that we'd include the application and rules and advertising, most of that stuff is explained once they're on the board I think.

As for coding, most sites use bbcode, as far as I know, and keeping this simple is probable best in my opinion. If images will be a problem then it's easy to just include an optional button or banner, which isn't integral to the ad as a whole, just ads to it.

I'm in the process of making some graphics that could be used.

Omg, this Potter's Army poster looks so cool! (couldn't stop but mention)
Although I have to ask - where is Brienne Ravenquist and Andrew Thomson(did i write her last name correctly)?

But that looks so great, even if that sort of thing isn't made final, I'll (With your permission) use it for inter-site stuff.

I'd love it if you did Liz, like I said, It'd be nice to have a whole heap of adverts to use or to choose from.

Well, Jess, I'm not good with graphics stuffs, but once you've decided on an advert send it to me and I'll work on getting it in as many sites as I can.
