One more drink to cover the pain!

Sophia was depress about alot of things and needed to clear her mind and think about things going on in her life. As she came upon the Leaky Cuakdron she pushed open the door as the bell tinkled above her head but she simply ignored it. Walking up towards the bar her black traveling cloak whipped behind her as she walked. "May I have a firewhiskey please?"Sophia asked the bartender softly as he nodded. As Sophia sat down at the bar she rubbed her eyes tiredly.


Alot of things where happening to her lately, from the death of her mother to her sister and father disappearing and now a good friend of her dying Sophia didn't know how much she could take. Sophia was surprise she was still sane and wan't in some mental unit at St. Mungo's. "So what a pretty girl like you drinking a firewhiskey for?"the bartender asked as he set down her drink. "Alot on my mind lately, and thankyou."said Sophia as she gotten on her money and set it on the counter. As Sophia took a drink of her firewhiskey she felt it burning her throat but it felt nice and it calmed her.

Alec walked slowly into the Leaky Cauldron running his fingers through his hair. He was having another bad day, his brother hadn't contacted him as usual though that was more his fault for not talking to him first. Also it was his fault since he missed Alex's graduation at Hogwarts only two years ago. He felt bad for it but he would have though Alex would be over it by now.

Alec walked up to the bar where a girl was already sitting there. He took a seat next to her and looked at the bartender. "Firewhiskey please" He said passing two galleons to him. "Thanks" He said as the bartender passed him his drink and nodded at Alec.

Sophia heard someone sitting down beside her and turned to see a man who looked older then her occupying the seat. He looked like as if he wasn't having a bad day and didn't want to be bothered so that what Sophia did not nother him. Letting out a sigh Sophia let down her hood of her cloak as her curly jet black hair cascaded down her back now. Sophia was wearing a black top with silver designs down the front with dark blue jeans with high high boots and her black traveling cloak over it. Sophia looked normal like she always did but deep down she was beyond normal.

Sophia chocolate brown eyes looked around the room and the first thing she noticed was the guy beside her looked really mad about something. Quickly looking ahead of her Sophia looked out the window watching muggles go about with there shopping as if it wasn't nothing. Sighing boredly Sophia twirled her straw around in her drink before taking another sip. The more she took the calmer she became and her worries started fading away.

Alec sighed pulling at some of his hair. He looked at the girl next to him watching as her hair fell down her back. "Need some company?" He asked her. He was upset but still he needed to not think about his brother. He fiddled around with his glass of fire whiskey before picking it up.

Alec took a swig of his fire whiskey then pulled his cigarette pack out of his back pocket. "Do you mind if I smoke?" He asked the girl next to him while pulling his lighter out of his pocket as well. "I'm Alec Mulligan." He said introducing himself.

Sophia looked at him and nodded. "Yes, your comapany would be nice."said Sophia giving him a soft warm smile. Sophia needed to clear her mind and talking to him might just be a way to clear it as well as drinking firewhiskey. Sophia took another swig of her firewhiskey not able to feel the burn in her throat anymore like it has before.

When he asked if she minded if he smoke she shook her head. "Oh no of course not, I have friends that smoke."said Sophia honestly. As he introduce himself she smiled. "Nice to meet you Alec, I'm Sophia Lestrange."said Sophia softly.

Alec attempted a smile, it wasn't his best but it wasn't a bad one either. He looked at his fire whiskey before picking it up again and taking another drink then placed it back on the counter. He pulled at his hair again before looking back at the girl as she said she didn't mind if he smoked.

He tooked his cigarette out of the pack and put it in his mouth before grabbing his lighter and lighting it. He inhaled then turned his head to the side to make sure the smoke wouldn't go into Sophia's face. "Nice to meet you too Sophia." He said while popping a cigarette half way out the pack and offering it to her. "You smoke?" He asked

Sophia shook her head when he asked if she smoke. "No I don't, but like I said I don't mind if you do."said Sophia softly. "As a matter of fact I don't really drink either, but I needed something that will get my mind off of things."said Sophia softly. Sophia knew she had to stop thinking about everything that happened to her and move on but it was hard. Sighing to herself she ran her hand through her hair and then took another swig of her firewhiskey.


Sophia was really starting to hate her life, when she starts being happy again and everything starts to go back to normal something bad happens. It's like life doesn't want Sophia to be happy at allfor when she tries something bad happens. "Why does bad things always happen to good people?"Sophia asked herself sighing as she looked at her firewhiskey.

Alec nodded "Good you'll never get lung cancer... that's a joke just so you know" He said sighing. He wasn't really funny at least he didn't think he was. "I prefer drinking but I smoke way to much for my own good." He said inhaling some of his cigarette again and doing the same before, blowing it to the side and tapped it twice on the ash tray.

Alec looked at her as she asked "Why does bad things always happen to good people?" sighing he moved his cigarette to his right hand and patted Sophia's back. "Bad day as well?" He asked. He pulled her fire whiskey away from her "You know, drinking won't fix what ever is wrong. If you don't like to drink you shouldn't drink it neither, you could get sick." He said looked at her in the eyes.

Sophia looked at him and chuckled at his little joke he made, it wasn't really funny but it made her smile. "Maybe you can find a way to stop, I bet you can if you wanted to ."said Sophia softly giving him a soft warm smile. "To be honest with you I tried smoking one time cause it was a dare and I didn't like it."said Sophia softly. "As for drinking I don't do much of, I'm against it I'm more of a nerdy type."said Sophia chuckling.

Sophia looked at him and nodded. "More like a bad week."said Sophia softly as she took a drink of her firewhiskey before he pulled it away from her and then sighed and nodded. "I know it doesn't but it calms me and makes me forget."said Sophia softly. "Can I have it back please?"Sophia asked him softly as he looked back into his eyes.
