Mind full of letters

On a friday evening Natasha was sitting in the Slytherin common room and was thinking about the week she has had. It was a hard week. And when she thought about the hill of homework that was expecting her, Natasha wanted nothing more, but to go to bed and sleep the whole week end through.


But she knew that if she was not going to start now, she wont be able to enjoy her free days.

So Nat pulled out her potions book,a roll of pergament,inc and a quill. She wrote the title.
Opening her book on page 62, Natasha copied the ingredients.'Done properly the color must be yellow'.

Natasha normally love Potions, but two rolls of pergament homework was a little bit too much.
She pulled out a bottle of water and took a sip.

Then she heard steps coming up to her and turned. "Hey." she said and turned back to her homework.

Yumi walked down to the common room after a long time of being in the dormitiories, thinking about things she hadn't thought of in a long time. She thought about her parents and their deaths. She shook her head and walked into the common room. She saw a girl sitting there apparently doing homework and she sighed.

"Hey." she replied in a bored vioce like she usually did. She sat down next to the girl and looked at the potions book. "Need help?" she asked trying to be nice to her fellow Slytherin. She smiled and continued to look at the book.

Hmm... this doesn't look very complicated. she thought, sighing. She zoned out while looking at the book and began to think about her parents and her "adoptive" father. All these years i've been living with the man who murdered my parents. she thought her hand beginning to form into a fist.

Natasha smiled as the girl sat next to her.

It was a one of the girls she slept in one dorm with. Yumi Zante was her name. They had a couple classes together as well.

Nat looked up as she asked her if she needed help. She raised her eyebrows and smiled a little. "Oh, its okay." she finished the sentence she was writing and then turned to Yumi.

Nat studied her face and bit on her lip. Yumi was looking sad and kind of lost in her thoughts.
"You okay? You don´t look very... happy." Nat asked and looked up to the girl through her bangs.

Yumi smiled at Natasha and nodded. "Yeah, i'm fine. I was just thinking about some things." she said her smile fading. She looked at the table where Natasha's books were and sighed again. She tried to not show how she was feeling, but it was harder than she had anticipated. This was only because she was with another Slytherin. If she was with someone who wasn't in her house she would have showed practically no emotion. "So what you been up to?" she asked nicely, forgetting about her previous thoughts. She shook her head and looked at Natasha, waiting for a reply.

"I've just been thinking about my parents and what would've happened if they were still alive." she said looking at her lap. She didn't like talking about her parents or her life with anyone so she stopped talking about it. "Yeah, I hear you. Keeping up with homework is a pain." she said, smiling. "Well so far I've been going to Dark Arts, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Transfiguration." she responded. She sighed and looked at the floor.

Nat turned to the table, took the bottle of butter beer she took from the kitchen and took a sip.

"Sorry, I just can't say anything." she responded still looking down. Yumi looked at Nat and smiled. "All I can say is that I haven't had such a great life, I guess." she said, now looking down again. She sighed and put her hand on her forehead.

"I was worried about the O.W.L.S. I thought i was going to do horrible. But I think I did exceptional." she sighed. She looked up at the ceiling and took heer hand off her forehead. "Don't you get it... I will always be here... Leave if you want, but when you come back I will be here... waiting for you..." she sang softly. She drifted off into her thoughts while she sang.

"I made this song up. Well i changed the words but the tune is actually from..... er...um.. I forgot who made the original song." she said putting her hands on her head. "I heard it on the radio when i was little and i really like it. I think the original song was called 'where are you' or something like that." she laughed. She couldn't remember the song name or who wrote the original but the lyrics she made up seemed to change the whole meaning of the song. "Hey Nat, do you sing or play any instruments?" she asked Natasha, taking her hands off her head and placing them on her lap.
