Malowney walked around the corridors of Hogwarts tiredly. She looked around at all the things, every aspect. Two years later, she would be free - free as air. She sat on a nearby bench, and took out a book - Hogwarts, A History - and placed it silently on her lap. She opened it up on the first page, and read the first five pages. The text got really boring and Malowney put the book down next to her. Nobody was joining her, as nobody cared.
She looked at the thick glasses she'd worn all her life. Up until now, when her mother was finally bothered to take her to get contact lenses. She was delighted that she could now see properly without looking ugly and like a Mummy's Girl Who Bought Glasses And Chose The Ugly Ones. She hated the glasses. They looked very ugly on her. She closed her book, pushing in an embroidered bookmark for added decoration.
In her school years, Malowney had encountered some dreadfully horrid people, one called Jane and two more called Alicia and Gwyneth. They'd teased Mal horribly for her glasses, and Mal had always had her eyes pricked with tears. Her weak eyes strongly crying her heart out. Malowney was very depressed in the times of her glasses.
