Marcus looked tranquil here, and even though there was pain in his eyes, there was also a sense of belonging as well. Something different and strange and she could not exactly figure out what that meant on Marcus. It was puzzling. But Renny had always been able to get to the bottom of other people's problems before,she was sure she could help Marcus too.
He said he wanted to show her something after but would not mind lunch, which she was glad for. She smiled and said, "That sounds great." She nodded. "Yeah, c'mon." She offered her arm and then strode off for the village, thinking contemplatively to herself about where would be best to go. Certainly not somewhere where they would run into a lot of other students who would give him the third degree.
Instead, she found a small, hidden cafe and led the way inside. She found a small table in the back and the waitress came to refill their water before asking if they wanted anything else to drink. "I'll have some hot tea, please? Thank you." She smiled over at Marcus, waiting for him to settle.
