How about as someone who knew Raoul when he was still in school (Raoul would have played quidditch, so that could be how they knew each other). He and Raoul probably would have gotten along well judging by his bio, so maybe Raoul was someone he looked up to or idolized? Knowing Raoul would have meant at least being aware of Amelia, but maybe he always thought she was odd, and definitely way too introverted to have been related to Raoul.

That gives them connection. As for context, perhaps they could meet while running or at a bookstore (I noticed these are things he liked in his bio), or just happen to be reading in the same area. Marcus might not like Amelia, but knowing she is related to Raoul might sway him into being at least tolerant of her until he can realize that she isn't all Ice Queen?

I don't know... these are just thoughts, really. Let me know what you think.

Oh! I like this! I don't think Marcus would have idolized him but he definitely would have subtly taken on board Raoul's character and copied him a slight bit during his younger years. Of course he would be too proud to admit that. He'd have definitely looked up to him though - if only for his Quidditch prowess.

I don't know what he'd think of Amelia, really. I don't think he'd be entirely put off but he'd probably not know enough about her to really pass judgement. He would have wondered whether they were actually related or not, though. Definitely. Whether he'd voice that or not I don't know. I wouldn't put it past him to do so, though.

Ahah. I'd like to see them meet. Marcus is back in Scotland now and will be working his way back into Hogwarts so he'll start joining in with student life again. Maybe they could come across each other in Hogsmeade?
