Just like in RL, almost every graduate witch or wizard must have a job. Because of Ministry regulations, few wizards and witches can or choose to work under muggle employers. Instead, the vast majority of wizards and witches work for the ministry.
At PA, some jobs actually require you to do actively participate. For example, as an auror, you must go to all auror meetings and go on missions. Other jobs, however, are just a title, ie: just some extra information for the character.

Hogwarts Professor
600 galleons
Only the most talented (in the specific subject) wizards and witches are chosen as professors at Hogwarts. Their job of course is to teach the students of Hogwarts. To be a professor, you must really dedicate your time to the classes, and make sure to keep your classes fun to keep the student members coming.
Auror
800 galleons
An Auror is a member of an elite unit of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement of the Ministry of Magic trained to capture Dark wizards and witches. The requirements to become an auror are difficult to achieve, 5 OWL's in challenging subjects, and even after that the wizard or witch has to pass through the tough and intensive auror training. Due to this, aurors have usually been small in number.
As an auror on PA, you will have to attend meetings and participate in missions, which usually involve capturing criminals.

Columnist
500 galleons
Columnists write stories for a newspaper. If accepted as a columnist you have to ask a newspaper editor if you can become a member of their team. After they accept you, you can write IC reports on the happenings around PA.
Healer
1000 galleons
Healers are the Wizarding Worlds version of 'doctors.' They use highly advanced spells to cure patients who are suffering from severe injuries, curses, hexes, jinxes and etc. As a healer on PA, you will have to post when another member at St.Mungos requires your assistance (a patient will contact you and say that he/she wants to RP with you).
Member of the Wizengamot
700 galleons
The Wizengamot is wizarding Britain's high court of law and parliament. The Wizengamot has several members, each of who are required to appear at court for each trial and submit their vote. At PA, this is exactly their job. Each Wizengamot member is required to take part in a trial and give their vote for the punishment.
Shopkeeper
Varies
A shopkeeper may open or take over a shop. As a shopkeeper you will be able to be the manager of your shop and give the shop its name. However, since PA does not currently have a money system, a shopkeepers job will not go much beyond that.
