Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Triwizard Rules

1. Each champion is encouraged, in the spirit of fairness, to develop and write their responses to the tournament and its topics independently of any other site member unless specifically instructed in the task to combine efforts with another player. The only exception to this is the RP exchange between champions and creators and/or judges. Champions may, though, converse with each other re: the tasks. No champion has been given access to the others’ Triwizard threads deliberately.

2. Each champion is give the same exact information, no more and no less, and in the exact same verbiage. Champions may ask questions of tournament creators, but all champions will receive (and have) the same information so that the contest is as unbiased as possible.

3. Tasks are to be completed within any time frame set by the creators and will be judged on: content, handling of the task, and the writing of the task itself. Grammar/spelling will not be considered as reasons to penalize a champion.

4. Information within the Tournament threads shall remain inside the thread until the creators decide to make it available to general membership to read.

5. This year’s tournament has been designed to include a back and forth style of RP between the champion and a creator. The creator is solely responsible for giving the champion any/all information the champion will need to finish the task at hand. This year’s tournament builds, one task upon another, so some details may appear to be missing, but that generally is very deliberate on the creators’ part. This will necessitate characters/players to deal with the task in a step by step fashion rather than having a great deal of advance information about what events are to come. It is a purposeful construction of the creators.

6. All decisions of the creators and tournament judges are final.

7. Remember, play nice! Smile
