friends? now that's a concept that belongs in
fairy tales as far as Ariel is concerned. He
doesn't have friends, nor would he value
them if he did. He does, however, have a
small circle of associates he uses to his
advantage. He believes that friends are
just waiting for a chance to stab you in
the back. Therefore he always makes
sure that he's the one to do it before he
is the victim. Only those who are
stubbornly idiotic attempt to make
Ariel their friend. He tends to prefer
the term 'companion'. He doesn't have
to make any inane promises to people
that just keep him company and
amuse him where as friends are the
people you're supposed to be loyal to.
It's a good thing Ariel doesn't have
any then isn't it?
enemies are Ariel's best friends! He will gain
an enemy with a few seemingly innocent yet
critical remarks. He takes great joy in antag-
onising his enemies. Provoking them is easier
than treading glass around them, something
he'd never do. Ariel's vindictive streak makes
him someone's worst nightmare. If there is
one person you want to anger then it's not him.
He's ruthless when it comes to people he has a
grudge against and will do anything in his
power to dispose of them. His step-father is a
prime example of this. The man now resides
in a Muggle jail, framed for something he
did not do. Ariel sees enemies as good sports
and will call them out on their 'bad form' if
they don't comply with the rules of baiting.
He would consider his enemies to be his
closest of friends and those who are meant
to be his friends, his closest enemies.
lovers are few and far between. Ariel is no
sex fiend, he actually finds it all a bit
tedious. He does, however, rely on women
to be compliments to himself. As a result
of his high standards he usually doesn't
find anyone and therefore remains alone.
That's suits him fine but he wouldn't be
the first to admit that he is quite lonely.
He is quite lonely and like every other
human on this planet he seeks a romantic
companion. This isn't at the forefront of
his mind, however. Being in a romantic
relationship would require him to actually
care about someone else and that probably
explains why Ariel doesn't embark on them
often. He's a selfish, vain creature but his
shoulder angel seems to believe that his
vanity would end with the woman that
could potentially win him. Ariel flicked
his shoulder angel away when the robed,
midget version of himself suggested this.
