Well, at least they'd be able to see them.

Caelani stood surrounded by buckets full of offal, enough for the entire herd. Some of the students would doubtless complain about the smell, which while not disgusting had a definitely organic edge to it, but most would have developed a tolerance for this sort of thing.

As she'd expected, the NEWT students were more keen to get to their lesson and seemed more eager to get started as well. Still, she could string out the suspense for just a little longer.

"For those of you who've yet to enter the duelling arena this year, and I do look forward to seeing all of you sign up for the tournament at the end of the year, my name is Caelani and I will be taking your lessons until Professor Elldir gets back," she announced.

"Can anybody tell me what you think we're studying today?"
