Many people ask if Veronika is part Veela. As far as she knows, she isn't, though she certainly looks like she is. Her face is in a word, perfection, at least in her not-so-humble opinion. Nika finds her face, and everything else about herself for that matter, to be perfect. Button nose, perfectly proportioned deep green eyes, and flawless lips that have the most amazing pucker. Her hair is straight, brown and long, and she uses up a lot of her time to make it look absolutely perfect. Veronika is quite tall, and very thin. In fact, she has Anorexia Nervosa - an eating disorder characterized by an obsessive fear of gaining weight. For clothes, she prefers to wears short dresses or miniskirts.

PERSONALITY:
Veronika is quite a complicated girl. She's popular among friends, but not as a whole, mainly because of how she treats people beneath her social class. She wants everyone to love and adore her, but barely loves or cares about anyone else. She's sensitive, but doesn't give a damn about anyone else. A perfect word to describe her would be: Impassive. Not in the way that she's always expressionless, just that she never seems to care about much and always acts disinterested. Veronika doesn't really know how to have fun, and has a pretty bad sense of humor. As their only child, she was raised as a very mannerful and polite child who would impress the other wealthy parents. As a result, she became stony and apathetic. She does impress other adults though, as she comes off as a mature and polite young lady.
Veronika is good looking, wealthy and has a natural charm, and this helps her make friends easily. However she is very selective on who she wants as her friend. They have to be rich, good looking, they have to listen to her and etc. She is quite experienced in dating as well, though she hasn't yet found a guy she actually likes. When Nika wants something, she gets it very easily, either through money, persuasion or other means. She is selfish and greedy, and absolutely loves to spend money. She always gets the most expensive thing, just because she can, even if she doesn't like what she's getting. Without her fathers money, she would be quite lost, as she never has worked and has no idea how.
Veronika is a Germaphobe. She loves to be clean and can't stand people who smell bad or look dirty. She also hates mud, dirt and any other thing that gives germs or make you dirty. Due to this, she engages in obsessive handwashing and takes showers twice a day. Nika is organized and responsible. She's also a perfectionist, and can't rest if there is mess around her. One more thing about Veronika is that she suffers from Anorexia Nervosa, a compulsive disorder which comes from not eating due to an excessive fear of gaining weight. This has made her quite thin as well as prone to catch viruses.

Early Years:
Nika was born in March to Peter and Alexandra Makinen. She was born and lived in Helsinki, Finland. Her father is a halfblood and was born in Finland, while is mother is from further west, Russia. Her mothers family is pureblood, making her half-blood. Her parents relationship was never good. Her father had married her mother because of her looks and her mother had married him because, as Veronika thinks, of his money. Her father cheated on her mother and their relationship was strained ever since. Despite that, her life was generally good. Most of her fathers friends were impressed by her, and she was relatively popular at school. Both her parents liked to remind her that she was privelaged to have these things, and should be thankful of this. By the age of ten, Veronika became more and more self-absorbed by her appearance, and spent a lot of money on clothes, creams, shampoos and other stuff.
Hogwarts Years:
Veronika was sent to Durmstrang when she was twelve. Though Nika doesn't need marks for what she wants to do, her father expected good marks, so she got them for him. She is smart and talented, though hardly hardworking, which prevented her from being the top in the class. Still, she gets consistently good marks in all subjects. At Durmstrang too, all the teachers were impressed by her politeness and manners, though she also got into fights with other students - mainly girls - due to her B**** attitude towards anyone below her.
