General Appearance: Bellatrix Lestrange is a changed woman in appearance since her spell in Azkaban. She is quite tall, around 5"8 and extremely thin. In fact she is what muggles would call anorexic thin. As she was imprisoned in Azkaban for years Bellatrix is shockingly underweight. Her skin has taken on a shocking ivory but wasted appearance.

Her hair which once was so dark and silky is now ebony and straggled due to 14 years lack of care though Bellatrix has made an effort to return it to its former glory although she has only managed to straighten it but the ends of her hair and completely straight and forced rather than silky and smooth. Her eyes, once deep and captivating, are now cold, reflective, sunken and dark. Despite that she still has a hint of her former beauty.

General Personality:

Bellatrix is a deranged, sadistic, evil, mad torturer who has just a bit of sanity left in her. Three things matter to Bellatrix: Voldemort, cleansing the world of muggles and mudbloods, and power. She is so obsessed with Voldemort that it goes past worship, and she would sacrifice her life for him in a second.

Predictably, she shares all of his views, especially that of cleaning the world of muggles and mudbloods. She oftenly murders them just for the fun of it, and never misses out on a fight against their protectors. Her kill list is long and filled with important and powerful wizards and witches: Remus Lupin, Tonks, Sirius amongst many many others. This just shows her skill as a dueler, and she is widely known and fear for it. She is also infamous for her use of the cruciatus curse on her victims. She usually uses it to drive a victim to insanity before killing him/her.

She herself, is not quite sane. Many years in Azkaban left her damaged physically and mentally. After the dissapearance of Voldemort, she quickly lose her remaining sanity. Now she is paranoid, sadistic and bent on finding Voldemort again, as well as taking revenge on those who fought against him.

Aside from all blood traitors, half-bloods, Muggle-borns, and Muggles, Bellatrix also treats people below her as scum. Born in the aristocratic House of Black, Bellatrix is heavily spoiled into thinking being born a Black means not only to cherish her blood purity to the fullest, but it also makes her practically royalty.

Childhood: Bellatrix was born in 1951 to Cygnus and Druella Black, who raised her to prize her pure-blood heritage. She was the eldest sister to Andromeda and Narcissa, though Bellatrix cut off contact with the former when Andromeda married Muggle-born wizard Ted Tonks and was disowned.
Hogwarts: Bellatrix came from the elite Black family, and as such she was given a privileged lifestyle. Bellatrix attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was sorted into Slytherin House. She met the marauders here, of which two she would kill herself. She never did well at school, preferring to study and practice dark arts.
Adulthood: After leaving Hogwarts, she joined the death eaters. As expected of her, she married someone from a pureblood heritage, Rodolphus lestrange. She never loved him though, as her love all was towards Voldemort. She fought at nearly all the battles in all three Wizarding Wars, and was never defeated in battle. In these battles she defeated nearly all of the talented order members, even though the Death Eaters eventually lost. When Voldemort dissapeared, she also was never around much, presumably searching around the world for signs of him - though she would come back to fight the order whenever there was a chance. By now, she was quite insane, paranoid and the only thing holding her back from complete insanity was her obsession for revenge and Voldemort.
