Daniel didn't like night clubs, especially not this one. Tonight, however, he had to come. He'd been invited mysteriously by someone, he didn't know who did, though. He had no idea how to dress, so he threw on a button up dress shirt that had the first couple buttons opened to expose a little bit of his chest. He also had a pair of tight jeans and comfortable dress shoes. He was surprised that he was let in, normally he wouldn't be cool enough to enter.
The music was uncomfortably loud, blaring even, and sounded like nothing more than synth beats. He stuck a couple earplugs in before entering, but it did nothing to dull the thudding. He realized that some of the thudding was not the music, but his own heart. Why did he come? Who invited him? Who didn't know of his aversion to night clubs?
When he was a student, he was sorted into Gryffindor house for reasons he did not understand. Why? Why not Ravenclaw? Or even Hufflepuff? He was not brave, he wished he was, but he was shy. Being homosexual didn't help either, it just made him want to shy away further.
He sat in the corner of the club, away from everyone else and waited for whoever invited him.
