Sixty years after the Battle of Hogwarts, the muggle world rockets into the future, while the wizarding world clings to its traditions. It is a time of change and political discord, complicated by the mysterious death of a headmistress, the rise of a new headmaster and a new Minister of Magic, and rumors of a secret rebellion...
Should the magical world accept a recent push for more modernization and acceptance of muggle science, or hold fast their unique traditions? Should they continue to ban all dark arts, as they have since Voldemort's fall, or accept a theory of moderation and balance?
At the end of the last term, the previous headmistress of Hogwarts, Lamia Longbottom, died under mysterious circumstances. Concerned for their safety, many of the professors have handed in their resignations, and many students have been withdrawn. But the new Headmaster, supported by the Minister of Magic, is determined to restore Hogwarts to glory, and to make it a bastion of safety in a dangerous world.
