The Imperium Squad was formed under the leadership of Headmistress Dolores Umbridge in 1995. It was brought in during times of hardship and tyrany to replace the Head Boy and Girl, and the Prefects of Hogwarts.
The organisation itself was corrupted by both the shady dealings of it's founder, and by the shady members it housed, which lead to many unfair punishments and point deductions.
Following the "Removal" of Headmistress Dolores the Imperium Squad was disbanded, and the old system of Prefects and Head Boy and Girl was reinstated, to bring fairness back to the school.
Many year later in 2022 Vincent Majere became Headmaster of Hogwarts, and once again disbanded the Prefects and Head Boy and Girl and revived the Imperium Squad, this time with the aim of making them more of a fair force, unbiased that would keep an eye on the goings on of the Students in Hogwarts.
The roles of the Imperium Squad are quite straightforward. Monitor the goings on of the students, intervene when intervention is necessary, take points off for wrong doings, and allocate them when points are deserved, and generally keep a tab of things.
When allocating, or taking away points, use your power wisely, if we find that the points were unfairly added or taken it may result in the removal of your membership in teh Squad.
Every so often a meeting may be held with the Headmaster to turn in reports and what not about the goings on in Hogwarts, please attend all of these meetings.
Finally, this area is your allocated meeting space, you may relax here, and you have privelleged bathing rights over the other students, as well as a nicer activities area, use it well.
