While humming to himself as usual, Calvin walked down the sidewalk, tilting his head from one side to the other in-sync with the notes that were forming in his throat. He couldn’t put a name on the song he had stuck in his head, but he knew it well, and had been trying to remember where he had heard it, only to fail over and over again until he finally just accepted the fact that he didn’t always know what songs he was humming. That was one of the many problems with people who hummed or whistled; they were never able to identify the song without putting in an extreme effort.
Calvin didn’t exactly spend a lot of time in pubs, but found that he really had nothing entertaining to do with his time, other than to grab a drink and stare down at the stack of paperwork he still had to do before the evening ended. He slipped his hands into his muggle pants- Calvin never dressed in wizard attire, it simply did not suit him well, and, besides, with such an interest in muggles, it did work out for him rather well that way. A light smile on his lips, the young man pushed open the door to the Leaky Cauldron and made his way inside, a bit of a spring in his step… as usual. He was such an unnaturally perky person….
Upon entering, several people stared at Calvin and muttered amongst themselves words that he was unable to hear. He looked down at the clothing he was wearing; a black button-up shirt and a pair of red jeans that hugged his legs rather closely, and of course, his favorite hooded jacket, which he wore everywhere- magical folk never had approved of his choice in clothing. He shrugged his shoulders carelessly and walked further into the crowded place.
Before ordering himself a nonalcoholic drink, Calvin looked about the place to see if he could spot anyone at least somewhat familiar looking, and spotted someone he hadn’t expected to see at all. Calvin tilted his head to one side as he looked at the girl and made a beeline to her table, “Ms. Lestrange?” he asked, unsure of how to act around the female after their last encounter.
