Khaat was running short on servers for the increase in business because of the summer season. She had run ads in the Daily Prophet and the Quibbler asking for some servers. She had set times in the slow spot of the morning between breakfast and lunch to see potential employees, have them complete applications, and then interview them. Her hope was that she could start someone fairly soon. She had assembled application forms, pens, and had reserved a booth close to the kitchen door to for potential employees to use while they were there. She had set up a RESERVED sign at the table, put the stack of applications and pens there, along with Sparks' breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. She was also allowing applicants a complimentary beverage of their choice while they were applying.
As for herself, she filled one of Sparks' extra large coffee mugs with her beloved French Roast coffee, and selected a slice of Lizzy's new chocolate orange cheesecake for a late breakfast for herself. She sat down at the reserved table with her unusual meal, and flicked her wand to produce a group of sparkling butterflies, each in a different summery color to flit up around the ceiling, to the delight of a family with four young children. The butterflies flitted and danced above their heads, causing giggles and squeals of delight. It was one of the reasons that family had become regulars here, because of the beautiful, magical creatures made of wand sparks that Sparks was named for and had become so famous for.
