Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Beep. Beep. Beeeeeep. The corner store was surprisingly noisy for once.

Damian stood on his toes, only peeking over the cash register by a few centimeters, being as short as he was. He had his arms folded and rested against the still conveyer belt, his navy-blue, hooded, sweater hiding his fair, freckled arms and plain-white shirt from view. He was still in his pajamas from the night before- it seemed as if he had climbed out of bed, and then gone straight down to the corner store. Beeeeep. Beep Beep. Damian watched as the cashier rung up the items he had handed her, waiting patiently for his “Life” cereal, carton of chocolate milk, and his new booklet of crossword puzzles. Damien blinked slowly; he was rather tired, and it showed in his expression as he stood their silently. “7…” someone said in the distance, so quietly he could hardly hear the voice at all. “7.50…” the voice repeated, though it seemed a bit closer to him that time around.

“Excuse me, kiddo, do you have seven pounds fifty pence?” the voice asked, loudly now, startling Damian when he realized it was the cashier speaking to him. He must’ve zoned out for a moment’s time... The young boy reached into his pocket and pulled out one, orange note, and laid it flat on the counter. He then produced a roll of 1 pence coins and cracked it open, laying one bronze coin out after another until there were fifty pence exactly, sitting on the black conveyer belt.

After being handed his breakfast and his entertainment, he stuffed all three items inside his muggle backpack, and headed out the door. Damian’s mother, nor his sister, had a clue that he had left the house to go to the store to pick up breakfast. Damian, of course, knew he would be just fine getting his breakfast on his own, but he felt the need to get back home before his mother worried too much about him; he didn’t enjoy breaking the rules, and always felt extremely guilty when he caused stress for his mother. The young boy walked down the sidewalk, reciting riddles he was fond of in a whisper as he went.

EDIT: Please excuse me if I got anything wrong with the UK currency...

It had been a while since May, Anna's daughter, had wanted to go to the store with her. So this was a good morning so far. Anna helped May out of the taxi, then turned to the front window and handed the man some money. She kept hold of May's hand the whole time. May decided to lead the way as they walked towards the store entrance. In the distance she could see a young man in pj's walking with a book infront of his face, some old people walking hand in hand into the store and a mother with her two kids walking out of the store. It looked like the store was going to be busy. But that was ok, as long as May was happy.

"Mommy, can I have some candy?" May asked her while holding hands and walking towards the entrance, getting closer and closer. "Um...I guess, but only if you eat all your vegitables at dinner tonight, ok?" Anna said to May, holding her hand firmly as they neared the entrance. Suddenly May stops and looks at the boy who just exited the store. "Mommy he has on pj's. Why can't I wear pjs all the time?" May asked looked up at her mother now with the question in her eyes. Anna stopped for a second and looked up at the boy who was walking away. "Um....because.....You don't want to get your pretty pj's dirty do you?" Anna asked her, quickly hoping that that was a good enough reason for her. May smiled then looked back at the boy and smiled. "I guess not." May said looking back at the store and started walking again. Anna kept hold of her hand and walked with her.
