Gender: Female

Year AND Age: Fourth Year, 14
Preferred houses: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw.

A P P E A R A N C EHeight: 5'3"
Hair: Venus has a browny-blond hair color due to her fathers genes adding brown. It's slightly curly, though she likes to keep it straightened usually, and rests above/on her chest area most of the time.
Eye color: Blue.
Skin: Porcelain-ish/Asian [Is Asian a skin tone?
]
General Appearance: Venus is a rather short asian girl with vibrant blue eyes who wears nearly anything, no matter how silly it looks. Her hair rests above her bosom usually, but on occasions it is pinned back with clips or in a bun or even brushed behind her shoulders, though for some reason she doesn't prefer this. Despite being short, Venus still wears rather short heels or flats, as if she is afraid of falling.
Perhaps from the 'pretty genes' past on from her mother that Venus would have rather skimmed, she appears rather distinguishing and striking, though it isn't rare that she is mistaken for her sister Violet.
P E R S O N A L I T YSkills: Venus is skilled at baking, though the only things she really enjoys cooking are pastries, sweets, baked goods and things like that. [She tends to mess up easily on other things when cooking] Venus is good at cheering people up in their 'down moments', if you consider that a skill, and she is rather smart, able to think of quirky things to say to lighten a mood or intelligent problem-solving speeches.
Weaknesses: Men are Venus' biggest weakness, as she is scared to death of them. Whenever one gets to close, touches her, or even talks to her, her face goes bright red, she has trouble speaking, and she becomes even more jumpy then usual. Her sister Violet is one of her big weakness as well, as she'd do anything for her sister even if all her sister would like to do is beat and harass her. She also hates to see people cry, as she has a great empathy for people and ends up crying too. Another rather large weakness Venus has is her schizophrenia, which causes her to see things or lapse out of consciousness, which could be considered a weakness as it could repulse people from her.
Likes:Venus likes baked things, seeing people smile and most of all, no matter how she abuses her, Venus loves her sister.
Dislikes: Venus really really really dislikes bullies [not 'hates', because she claims to hate no person], along with closed spaces [she gets claustrophobic] and really loud noises. [She's jumpy and claims they hurt her ears]
Motto: "Make love, not war. Drop pants, not bombs. Steal hearts, not things."
General Personality: Venus is a really kind person, all and all. Her sister, though abusive, is the center of most of her love- and her schizophrenia. During beatings, she'd start to see things, and it's kind of were that blossomed from. She is, indeed, deathly afraid of men. She gets incredibly nervous and uncomfortable, and there seems to be no known reason as to why. She likes baking- and eating- sweet things, but it seems sour things just aren't her shindig, as is the same with mean people. She dislikes the 'sour apples' but tries her best to worm [despite the pun] her way in to their hearts and make them smile.
H I S T O R YFamily Information: Venus [and her twin sister Violet] are the daughters of Viola, an 'entertainment dancer' and a simple wand-maker in a small town who went by the name of Whilliem. The two met, and their father was enticed, a certain horizontal dance happening many months later that resulted in the two of them. c:
Childhood: As children, Violet and Venus were raised in their Fathers wand shop, but the often would go out with their Mother on trips she seemed to take all over the world, and this is where a few problems developed. On these 'trips', their mother would often leave the two alone, whereas the beatings would begin. Violet was a very mischievous child, and she thought picking on her sister would be fun, though when it didn't seem to show much, she resorted to beatings.
Venus screamed and cried many a time, but she never tattled, never got angry or sought revenge. She knew Violet was letting unspoken angers and miseries out when she beat her, so she let her do it to help her, and so the beatings continued. Eventually the screaming stopped, and Violet reverted to more violent methods, using the magic her father had begun teaching them, and that was when the shadows began to dance in Venus' vision.
They started crawling in on her while she was being battered by magic, dancing in the corners of her eyes and making her see things. Sometimes scary, unbearable grotesque things, sometimes cute, fluffy things, but when the beatings stopped, they always seemed to disappear, but Venus couldn't shake the feeling that they weren't real. This was the beginning of her schizophrenia, it seemed.
Eventually she'd even slip out of consciousness, her shadows taking her to an alternate dimension of sorts where she didn't feel the pain. It was wonderful, but being torn out of it night after night saddened the little girl, because the world seemed so perfect, and yet Venus knew she couldn't leave her sister. Her sister needed her.
One night, months after the lapses of consciousness, two owls arrived at the wand-makers house with two letters of entry into Hogwarts School of Magic and Wizardry [and all that jazz].
Hogwarts: Upon arrival at Hogwarts, Venus started having troubles. Her more frequent lapses of consciousness, whether or not she was being beaten, where becoming more frequent and more of a problem. She'd simply drop down and 'faint' in the middle of a class or any meal, and if she did it at night, there was almost no chance of studying, leaving her late for class and the receiving end of many bad grades for the first few months.
With all the new things Violet was learning, the beatings were coming more and more brutal by the week, but Venus didn't falter. In her mind it was all for her sister's good. Then it became worse. She began seeing things when she wasn't getting beaten, anywhere she went. They scared her sometimes, or at others scared the people around her. Things weren't looking good for the small girl.
After a while, she seemed to get more of a reign on her mishaps. She didn't lapse out if she was focused, she didn't see things she didn't want to if she held her breath and counted to ten. Her grades went up, resulting in her being bullied into doing her sister's homework as well. Things where turning up, except for one thing.
Boys.
Now at 14, with her striking features despite her fear of the opposite sex, she began to attract a few men, causing many freaks out in which she lost her focus on which she was doing, causing her to see things and lapse out more so when around them, another reason she keeps trying to steer clear of them, no matter how much she might be attracted to one. It seems like just another downfall in the new year for little Venus~
Adulthood: N/A
Short Roleplay: [I usually do 2-5 or 4-6 depending on the situation. 2-5 is normally, 4-6 is an 'event' of sorts, you know- Something crucial to building the characters 'plot' or something of that sort..]
Venus dragged her feet through the library, one hand rubbing her left temple as she glanced up at the rows upon rows of books with tired eyes, though the sight of the book gave her eyes a certain sparkle of joy, perhaps pure ecstasy? It was such a nice, quiet place filled with so many wonderful books... Who wouldn't feel at home in a cozy, though large, place like this?
Perking up considerably, Venus brushed a brownish-blondish strand of hair from her face and glanced around for an open chair with eager blue eyes. A rather comfortable looking sofa-chair seemed to be vacant near a fireplace, so she made her way over there quickly, walking as quickly as she could without running. Nabbing a book on nymphs on her way over, she fell into the chair with a 'thump!' before letting out a sigh of relief as she settled down into the very comfortable chair.
Opening the old book, she licked her finger, snapping back the page with a crisp 'snap!' as her eyes darted back and forth over the page, trying to intake everything at once and yet receiving no information at all in a sort of ironic fashion. As she reached up to flick to the next page, her eyes widened, a silent gasp stifling from her throat. The shadows danced around where her fingers rested on the page, mimicking the events of the story. Screwing up her eyes in a frustrated look, the small asian girl closed her eyes tight, beginning the count.
