Party In Rome

Varod was in Rome, at some random party. He really didn't know why it was there but it gave him free alcohol and with a little magic he was in, no biggy. Anti was out and about as well, flicking up girls skirts lightly and teasing people who got drunk. But V settled down into a chair with some food and wine, and began to devour it.

With a glance around he saw some idiots dancing. Thoughts of Christy at the ball pervaded his mind.

"Come on, come dance!"

"No, I'm no good..."

But he had danced for a song, more than he'd ever done for anyone...

Christabelle had been invited to a party in Rome by some of her friends in the city since she had been there for some modeling. She had made her absence in England quite a long one and knew and really didn't care if people worried where she was. In her mind she no longer cared nor worried since she was going back to beauxbatons over the summer anyway to graduate early like she had originally planned.

The party so far was rather boring. Just a few people she knew in the modeling industry that were being nice to each other's faces as usual, except for the few that were genuinely nice to you because they actually liked who you were. She still had her outfit from her go-see only an hour or so ago.

Christabelle's long curly blonde hair was pulled up into a ponytail, her face clean of any type of make up at all and she was wearing a blue tank top and a pair of light denim skinny jeans. She walked over to the bar that was set up and picked up a glass of wine her laughter radiating across the room as someone next to her told her something funny.

Varod saw Christy and gasped loudly, causing several heads to turn. He put his head down and tried to not make himself known.
Why the hell does she have to be here?! he asked himself angrily. I shouldn't have come. I wouldn't have if I'd known.
Then, to his horror, Anti walked up and slapped her on the arm, apparently not realizing who it was.
"Oh shit," V whispered, getting up and walking away as fast as he could.

Christabelle turned sharply pouring her wine all over Anti when he slapped her arm gasping when she noticed it was him, grabbing another glass of wine and pouring it on his head proceeding to yell at him in Italian about how rude it was to slap a woman. She grabbed another glass at seeing Varod walking away gulping it down as quickly as she could, " Oh I don't know where you think you are going without him but you are not leaving me to deal with him." she sent to Varod's mind as she reached for another glass of wine for her to sip on as she moved out of the crowd that was quickly gathered around them.

Varod heard her and hoped she was far behind and listening to his thoughts. He's had a little too much to drink.
Forcing Anti to leave, via surpassing willpower, he turned around once he was outside the party.
"Hello, Christabelle," he said monotonously, absolutely no emotion in his voice.

But Christy wasn't far behind listening to his thoughts though to be honest that one he had broadcasted like satellite radio and she could pick up on it clear as a bell. She still felt that drinking wasn't an excuse for him to act like that. She took a sip from her glass of wine as Varod turned around to face her. She hadn't seen him in nearly two months. Something about her was different. Not even she realized this change but she seemed more mature, like something had changed her.
"Varod." she said looking at him attempting her best to keep emotion out of her voice but she wasn't doing a very good job at it., "What are you doing here in Rome?" she inquired curiously.

"I got bored," Varod said shrugging. "I snuck into the party for some booze and a little getaway. Watching people make fools of themselves is fun. Break anyone's heart while you were gone?"
This time a bitter note couldn't be helped and crept into his voice

"Varod..." she said looking at him truly hurt by his words. "You know I never meant to hurt you...Why can't you just forgive me and move on?" she asked looking at him. She had been doing a lot of thinking in her time away and had figured she had in fact been very childish in how she had broken up with Varod, "If its any consolation I am sorry for how things ended." she looked like she was holding back tears and turned away so he couldn't see as they began to fall from her eyes.

Varod noticed this and immediately felt guilty.
"Christy..." he said, going back to the nickname as he hugged her. "I'm sorry...I do forgive you but it still hurts....can you understand?"

Christy looked down as he hugged her. It was almost normal to feel his arms around her again. There was something about him that always made her feel at home and protected even if at times she just wanted to rip out his throat and cut him into pieces. "But its been so long Varod...And I've forgiven you for almost killing me which is probably a much harder thing to do." she said making a valid point.
