Dance is the core of my Salvation...

Monet had heard rumours that there was an empty classroom, with nothing in it. Not even mirrors, and she wanted a secret place where no one goes to just dance freely. So, today, she decided to go to the fourth floor and there it was, the empty class room.

She entered the room and looked around and dropped her bag on the floor. She took in a deep breath and swallowed. She changed her clothes into proper dance clothes and shoes. She then did the most horrid thing she thinks she'll ever do in her life - she put her hair in a high pony tail, only because she didn't want to get sweaty quickly and easily.

She put on a muggle ipod and pressed play. She started with some warm ups and began to dance along with some hip hop music.

Derek was going down towards his favourite place by the Great Lake from his Common Room using stairs making his way through the empty halls. Everyone was outside because it was a beautiful sunny day with only a drop of wind and it was tempting him for a while to go take his guitar and join the gathered crowd that looked like it just waited for him.

As he was passing the fourth floor he thought he heard something though he considered it an unimportant noise so he made a couple of more steps and just as he was about to get on the first stair something was making a gentle sound from one of the unused classrooms. He had some time to get used to this school so he turned around without even him noticing it.

The classroom was apperently empty though when he looked inside he saw a girl dancing alone. Not an usual sight to see. It was his little sister Monet so he just stood there peaking for a fair bit before he entered quietly putting his guitar to lean back on the wall. He caught Monet for her hand starting to dance along untill she would eventually snap out and realize he was there.

Monet began to sing with her eyes shut. She then began to do twists, opened her eyes and saw her brother standing right there, watching her. Monet screamed, covered her mouth with her hands and began to shake, sweat and her heart pounded hard against her chest. DEREK! Monet said as she took off the iPod from her ears and walked to him and had sad eyes. You know I don't like it when people are watching me dance and sing..It makes me really nervous.... Monet said to Derek. Oooh, is it just me or is it hot in here! Monet said as she walked around the room with on hand on her forehead and the other fanning herself down. She was only really hot and sweaty because she was embarrassed that Derek had been watching her. She didn't like anyone watching her sing or dance, it made her almost break down.

Derek was standing right there without a move apart from this very weird hip hop dance he was performing and would stay like that if Monet didn't scream at him scaring a ghost out of him. He slightly jumped snapping from his state of trans. Jeez girls really scream loud.. he thought for himself scrubbing his ears to check if they were alright. After he was sure they were not damaged by his sister's silent scream he moved up to her giving her a tight family hug. "There there sis calm down it's just me!" he said smiling feeling like Monet was going to get red any second now.

"You have a nice voice and pretty moves why don't you believe me?" he smiled not sure what to do next. Just kept hugging her untill he was sure she wouldn't scream at him again like he was a monster or something worse.

Monet put her arms around him and hugged him back tightly. Ugh, not too tight or you'll suffocate me! Monet said gasping for air, though she was only playing around with him. Monet then chuckled slightly after seeing him rub his ears after she'd scream. And you're my older brother, you have to say nice things to me because I'm your younger sister... Monet said. In other words, I don't and won't ever believe you. Monet told Derek but smiled. Besides, there's people that are better than me and dance...because...well I dance because it's my passion...they dance to get paid. I don't want people to think that I entertain to become rich. Monet shrugged.

Derek smiled at his sister before giving her a kiss in the cheek and letting her go. He was still forgetting she was lower then him for a bit and that it wasn't preferable for him to do those things. "There is that better sis?" he asked standing right there though he wasn't hugging her anymore. For some unexplainable reason he liked to hug his sister. Maybe it made him feel protective over her. "Yes i am and no i am telling the truth. You have a beautiful voice and unique moves.And i don't just say that because i am your big brother that loves you." he said winking to her. "Well then Miss Delacour can i have this dance?" he asked putting on the modern version of waltz. He bowed and offered his hand to Monet.

Monet could only look down and then look up and smile at her brother. Oh what did I do to deserve a lovable brother like you? Monet asked. Monet then raised her eyebrows and grinned at him. Monet did a courtesy bow to her brother and gave him her hand. Why of course you may, Mr. Delacour. Monet giggled. She bit her lips and thought this was no good without music so she began to sing a love song. It felt kind of weird, but it was okay, because she did love her brother.

"Beautiful sisters have loveable brothers." Derek replied winking to her taking her hand and putting his right one around her waste. Fortunatly his sister wasn't big fan of long dresses since that would make him be more careful not to step on it. "See? You are dancing and very gracefully mlady." he said smiling lifting her up on the occasions as he was supposed to in case they had real music though singing was fine to him. He started joining Monet's song having a solo here and there. They were making a party at the classroom. Hopefully no one who wasn't supposed to wouldn't notice.

So true. Monet agreed that beautiful sisters have lovable brothers. She could only laugh and giggle at his statement and smile. Monet then blushed red when he said she was dancing very gracefully. I can say that you definetely do not have two left feet! Monet told her brother and grinned.

Derek winked at her wishing to hug her though he prefered to finish the dance before he did so. He found it rather sweet when a girl would blush though in his sister's case it was just silly. "Should i say thank you?" he asked as they were turning around and around though he was trying to lead the dance. "What did i do to deserve such beautiful dancing sister?" he asked continuing to sing when it was his turn. They were about to finish the song.
