We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

A Pleasant Day Away From the Sun Empty A Pleasant Day Away From the Sun

Thomas Lestrange was walking trhough the dark alleys of Knockturn Alley. His destination: Borgin and Burkes. The best place for dark magic artifacts in Britain. As he entered the shop, he saw there was no one there, Borgin had went somewhere apparently. Frowning impatiently, Thomas walked around the room, looking at the various dark magic artifacts with interest. That was his main hobby, purchasing dark artifacts with the large treasury that the Lestranges had. He was in every way like his mother, Bellatrix.

Carrie was not at all interested in dark artifacts, just Borgin. Well, Borgin's son. He was sure to be easily manipulated, and Carrie would never touch Borgin. She walked into the shop, and looked for Borgin. He was not in. She cursed her luck, but decided to look around. She ran her fingers over the glass jars that held eyeballs, turning away from the brains and guts. They positively disgusted her to no end, making her want to throw up. She turned to leave, then saw somebody. It was Thomas Lestrange, one of the Death Eaters. Hm. She had never met him before. She walked up to him, and fingered the locket that was on the table.

"Thomas Lestrange." It was not a question. She knew who he was.

Thomas looked up from a particularly interesting dark artifact when he heard is name. It clearly wasn't Borgin, the person who had spoken was a woman. He looked at the person, she was of medium hieght, blonde and quite attractive. He had seen her around Malfoy Manor sometimes. "Indeed, thats me," he said with a slight smile. "I'm afraid I don't know who you are though. Care to enlighten me?"

Carrie was impressed by his manners, and gave a miniscule smile. "My name is Carrie. Carrie Fox. I did not expect you to know me. I mostly work out of the mansion." This was not completely true, but she did spend a great deal of time outside. She worked alone, and relied on nobody but herself. "Now, what is a respectable man like you doing here?"

"Ah. Well nice to meet you Ms. Fox" he replied politely, managing to smile back at her, it wasn't something he did often. He recognized the name, he knew most Death Eaters, he just hadn't seen her before, so he believed that she spent a lot of time out of the manor, which he did as well. "Well, I came here to browse a few artifacts," he explained, not seeing reason in not telling her what he was here for. As she was a fellow Death Eater, she wouldn't mind him looking at Dark artifacts. "Which I presume you are here for as well? Or for something else?"

"As a matter of fact, I was just looking for Borgin. I had some...business to discuss with him." Carrie was going to leave out the fact that she was just looking for Borgin's son. What Lestrange didn't know wouldn't hurt him. "I was never really interested in artifacts. Just a little bit boring to me. I always preferred action over artifacts." She picked up a particularly long sword, and frowned. There was rust down the hilt, and the jewels were all gray in color.

OOC: It's ok. Sometimes I do that. Very Happy

"Mhm, I see," Thomas said quietly, not asking her what business she had, as that would just be nosy, and he wasn't particularly interested anyways. He looked at the sword she picked up, not really agreeing with her about the action over dark artifacts thing. Thomas had a hobby of collecting them. As she put the sword down, Thomas looked at her instead. She was definately an attractive young woman, he guessed she was several years younger than himself. He couldn't really tell. "But it seems like Borgin isn't here right now, pity."

"Yes, pity." It was funny. Carrie usually could never hold a three word conversation with anybody, but with men, she just opened up. Maybe that was part of the reason she liked them..."But, why waste such a good experience just because an old fudgeball isn't in a shop at the moment. And in his place is a much more attractive man." She smiled. Mild flirting, always the first step.

Thomas was used to this, he had inherited his mothers good looks after all (before she went insane anyhow), and women flirting with him was quite common. But he was a married man and flirting was the farthest it ever went with other women. "Why thank you," he said, chuckling at her comment. He looked up as he heard a noise, thinking Borgin had arrived, but he didn't. Thomas didn't mind, he had a lot of time in his hands and he was quite enjoying chatting to Carrie.
