Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Drunken Singing and Lamppost Scaling Empty Drunken Singing and Lamppost Scaling

The night was wistful as it hung about the air, leaving the streetlamps to glow in the darkness. Robert Dent had curled his legs around a streetlamp in Muggle London. It was one of the old Victorian ones with a real flame. He was using it to try and light his cigarette which had unfortunately (for him) gotten wet when he was running through the rain once he’d left HMV.

However, scaling a rather tall streetlamp wasn’t on his list of things to do. He still did it though. Once the rain had let up, Rob had taken the cigarette from behind his ear and tried to light it with his lighter. After a few clicks and an exclamation of “F*CK!” Rob moved onto matches and even they wouldn’t light it. That was what brought him to the lamp he was now clinging to and praying to Merlin for the damn thing to light. He looked like an idiot but that really wasn’t important to him.

Matt was walking around looking at the ground, his hands in his pocket and he spotted Rob sitting on the ground. He heard a rather nasty word and that's when he knew for sure it was Rob. He laughed and walking a little faster over to him, he was a mess. "Hello Rob, I see you're enjoying yourself!" he said grinning. He pulled out his wand, waved it and Robs cigarette lit up. "Next, time just use magic..." he said crouching down. "You look lovely...anything special happen lately?" he asked grinning. Matts wand was still out and he was twirling it around in his hands, he pulled out his own packet of cigarettes and tossed it t Rob. "I'm trying to quit anyway..." he said grinning.

Rob grinned up at Matt and jumped to his feet, putting the cigarette between his lips. “It’s a lot of fun I assure you.” He shrugged. “You’ve got to try it some time. It does wonders for your thighs.” He tapped his legs for extra effect and took the cigarette from his mouth. He couldn’t quite remember what he was meant to be doing. He knew the Leaky Cauldron was only up the road so that seemed like the best bet. Yep, flirting with barmaids who had known him since he was sixteen would definitely entertain him for the night. “Magic is no fun.” Rob laughed. “It makes things far less interesting.” He ignored the jibe and smirked. “I look like this every day, Matt. It’s part of the charm after all.” Rob caught the packet of cigarettes and frowned slightly before chucking them back. “Please, why quit? Khaat’s daddy will fix you in the event of your lungs exploding or something equally horrible.”

"Rob, I'm a vampire...I don't breath!" he said grinning as he caught the packet. "Anyway, if you always look like this...I can't see why Khaat chose you..." he said grinning and punching Rob on the shoulder, just not with his Vampire strength. "Nah, I don't need any training. I may not look it but I'm amazingly fast and strong" he said grinning as Rob got up. "Hey, let's hit the Cauldron. Let me buy you a drink!" he added grinning and patting Rob on the back. "You look like you could use one.." he added walking towards the Cauldron. He lit up a smoke and looked at Rob, "Unless you wanna stay of course!" he said putting the smoke in between his lips and puffing.

“Whatever.” Rob shrugged. Vampire or not, lungs exploding was never a good thing. It was bound to hurt a bit. “Khaat is a different story. I ask myself the same thing. I think it’s my cooking and charm.” Rob rubbed his arm, feigning hurt and grinned. “You? Fast and Strong and amazingly so at that!? Impossible, look at that scrawny body.” Rob followed Matt after a few seconds of thought. He didn’t want to go home – there was no need to. Khaat would live and he was sure that Narcissa and Jen would entertain her somehow. “Yeah, I’m coming.” Rob said, following Matt up to the pub. “I think you could use a drink. Being half-dead or whatever must be pretty boring. You’ve got no organs to ruin with the finer things.”

Matt chuckled as Rob ran to catch up. He tossed the cigarette bud on the ground and it landed in a puddle. "Care to test me.." he said grinning as he picked up a rock. "I bet I can huck this all the way too...Black pool and hit Gibbs's house..." he said grinning. "What are you thinking about? Khaat alright?" he asked grinning. "I drink all the time, just...well not ALL the time but alot more recently..." he said grinning as he hucked the rock. "You could use it more" he added as he opened the door to the pub. "I love watching other people do my job!" he said mock excitedly and moved over to the bar. He grabbed a bottle of firewhisky and two glasses. "Well...not to me!" he added as he took a seat on one of the bar stools.

“Leave my brother alone.” Rob scowled playfully. “Then again, just be grateful its only Gibbs and not Jen. She’d rip you apart and string you up on an electricity wire by your intestines.” Rob was smirking but he was deadly serious. She would have no qualms about doing something like that. She’d chased him around the garden with a piece of wood that had nails knocked into it, as a child. “I’m just wondering who will entertain her and abbey. No doubt the furniture will try to smother her. It’s missed her.” Rob grinned at Matt and attempted to put on his best ‘All-knowing-healer-lupin’ voice. “Matthew now you know that the drink will kill you. Internal organs are not to be exploded.” Rob took the cigarette from his mouth and scraped the end across the bottom of his shoe. He put the cigarette behind his ear and followed Matt inside. He rolled his eyes at the idiot and jumped onto one of the bar stools. He took the bottle of Firewhisky and opened it up. He poured some into each glass and put the bottle down. “There is definitely something bizarre about Firewhisky.” Rob said thoughtfully, staring into his glass with a bemused expression.
