Just Walking ((Open! Preferably a New Member))

Matt excited the giant dance hall and entered the charmed Ministry. It looked like it was outside, it was like a garden with a hedge maze. He sighed and walked over to the giant fountain, it had been repaired after all these years. He pulled out a knut from his pocket and tossed it in the fountain, I just wish I could enjoy the dance and find Emmy... he though to himself. He then sat on a bench next to it, looking rather angry and yet sad.

Rob had been enjoying the Valentine's Day Dance. It was quite a nice little shindig but the alcohol was limited. He still had some champagne though and had decided to wander around the area. It was pretty and nicely decorated but was heaving with couples. Rob just wanted to relax a bit. He walked over to fountain and spotted Matt Lestrange. It was bizarre to see him looking so down and well, yeah, down. He took a second glass of champagne from one of the waitresses wandering around and made his way over to Matt. He sat down and held out the second glass of champagne to him. "Cheer up, Mate." he smiled. "It's Valentine's Day and yet another excuse to get completely pissed."

Matt laughed and grabbed the chamapaign. "They need some stronger stuff!' He said. He got up and looked at the fountain, "Hey Robert...have you ever had something happen...that completely changed yo?" he asked turning around to look at him. He needed some advice from someone that wasn't Jess.

"I agree." he chuckled, looking at the liquid that just looked like expensive pee in a glass. "Unfortunately I think people at the Ministry are lightweights and can't handle their drink." Matt did look troubled and restless indeed. Rob wanted to know what was troubling the guy but he'd wait for Matt to tell him seeing as he needed some advice. Robert thought for a few moments before sipping his champagne. "Yes, actually." he nodded. "When I was a kid I lost someone very dear to me and it has made me a tougher person -- a bit of a colder one and the experience has always haunted me but I have learned to let it go. What are you getting at?"

"Yeah...I need some brandy!" he said. "What I'm getting at is that someone was taken from...a friend of mine. And he isn't what he used to be" he said avoiding eye contact with him. He knew occlumency but still, you could never be to careful. He looked at the glass of champaign and tossed it behind him. It landed in a bush and 2 people came running out screaming dripping wet.

Rob nodded thoughtfully and put his glass of champagne on the floor beside the bench. His eyebrows furrowed slightly in thought and Rob honestly wondered how he could help Matt. He didn't have a lot of friends so he couldn't really empathise with him in that sense but his sister was a psychopathic man eater who changed her personality every six months so in a bizarre sense he did understand where Matt was coming from. "Have you thought about talking to him or perhaps offering him some advice of your own?"

Matt looked at Robert..."Your thick!" he said laughing. "My friend is me!" he said. "My wife was recently kidnapped and I just need some advice to move on...or a friend to help me get her back!" he said with a grin. He took a seat on the side of the fountain and looked at the big doors that lead to the main room. It looked like everyone was having fun in there.

Rob scowled. "I'm not thick, Matt. I haven't been around for at least a month, remember? I got kidnapped by a fire place and spent my time getting chased by dragons and getting more tattoos." he said seriously. "To be honest I don't think you'll ever let her go if you choose to move on because she'll always be there but it is a case of 'Do you want to move on?'. If you want to go after her then I'm all for it and I'll go with you but you have to be rational mate. You can't go off guns blazing without some sort of plan."

"No I know I can't" he said. "Its just...things have been stressing....not knowing if she's alive....or..."he gulped not wanting to say dead. "Oh and I heard about your chasing dragons! I've always wanted to do that!" he said grinning. But the grin faded rather quickly. "The Orders pushing me...I've lost my job at Hogwarts and they've taken down my department in the Ministry as well"

"You should just let things pan out." Rob suggested. "Everything happens for a reason even if it seems like Merlin is out to get you once in a while." He knew how Matt felt. He was lost when his best friend disappeared. There was no trace of him and he'd more or less gone off of the map along with his wife. Rob was just thankful he was actually able to keep Jinx with him. "The Order are over reacting. The Death Eaters are waiting for something, yes, but you can deal with that as and when. You're a Lestrange which means you could try and get some money off of good old aunt Bella. If you do then tell her I said hello. But if all else fails you could either get a job at Khaat's bistro or go chasing dragons with me -- I'm bound to go again and I'm sure Khaat would be happy to have you."
