What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Anyways, since all of you were asking for one, I made a spell creation thread. However, bear in mind that I won't be accepting spells which are overpowered, unfair or against the laws of magic in Harry potter.

Also try to use your common sense. Don't make a spell which is the same as an existing one. An Order member shouldn't be using spells like cruciatus curse and a 1st grader can't use powerful magic. Make spells which fit the characteristics of your character.

Btw, ALL spells can be defended by a shield charm.

1 spell per character is the max. Oh and a max of 2 spells per person, since some of you have multiple characters.

To make a spell, use the code below.
Code:

Spell Creator: (obvious)
Name of Spell: (This is the NAME of the spell. Like Cruciatus curse, or Patronus charm)
Incantation: (This is different then the spell name. Its the words you speak to use the spell, like Expecto patronum or Crucio)
Description: (Describe what the spell does. Write at least 2-3 lines or it won't be accepted! Here you have to tell who can use it, to what extent it can be used and how to use the spell)

Name of Spell:The Fenormia Curse
Incantation: Fernomia
Age Limit: At least 14
Description: This spell will send the person hit into a state of shock. They will first expereience Coldness as if they were dying, Then go Blind for a small time, and finally the go Deaf. It is a simulation of dying that will only last as powerful as it was casted. Ei: If you casted it with full power it might last 5 minutes.

Spell Creator: Ne'Os Emof
Name of Spell: Vampire's gift
Incantation: Lamia cruor vigoratus
Description: Does two things but thats because theres one effect for human another for vamp for vamp it donates the casters blood to keep the vampire sustained enough to get blood. for humans it donate the vampire casters blood to help quickly heal serious injurys. its much more powerfull then Episky is. Only Vampires can cast.
Age Limit: any

Name of Spell: The Tinalius Curse
Incantation: Tinalio
Age Limit: 13 and above
Description: The Finalius Charm causes your opponent to become rather ill. Wether it's a terrible coughing fit, or uncontrollable sneezing, or a positively dripping runny nose, it's all about x10 whatever the normal symptoms of illnesses are. Not recommended for third years and below, as the different variations of the spell are so unpredictable.

Spell Creator: Astoria Malfoy
Name of Spell: Middly Charm
Incantation: Middlius
Age Limit: 17 and above
Description: This spell causes the caster to imagine the writing they are reading clearly in their minds, like a miniature movie in their heads. This only works on fiction stories, and is quite advanced, so you must be a seventh year or up to use it.

Spell Creator: James William Wilson
Name of Spell: Lightning spell/Levitas spell
Incantation: Levitas
Description: It is a powerful attacking spell. The user of the spell starts to shoot lightning, although not fatal, from his wand. The target will be hurt and burned, but never killed unless the caster really feels hatred for the target, but real, true hatred, without any other feeling. It is a spell taught at the 7th year and after, definitely because the younger wizards might have problems controlling the spell and its intensity. The usage is simple - a wand movement in the shape of a hiperbola and an incantation. It is a very powerful spell that can often backfire and hurt the caster if he is inexperienced. Wilson managed to create that spell during his European tour, where he learned the technique of spell creation from a Serbian wizard called Jovan Petrovich. Together with him, using his advice, he managed to create this spell he wanted to use in self-defense.[

Incantation: Lorem Ipsum
Description: Lorem Ipsum is a line that originates from a book that, translated, is called The Extremes of Good and Evil. Today, the term refers to a dialect that seems like complete gibberish to the standard muggle. The truth is, the language is in the form of Magical Spells, whose proper definition has since been lost from the world. Only the name, Lorem Ipsum, remains. The truth is, properly recited, Lorem Ipsum is the ultimate revealer- it results in the outright erasure of magic. This spell is very dangerous to use in magically-inclined communities- because of it destroys anything that is magically imbued... including the user's wand. Lorem ipsum is a frustrating spell that may lead to the destruction of one's wand, and is not recommended for practical use.

Spell Creator: Jamie Prophet
Name of Spell: The Steeloetta Blocoma Curse (The Steel Blood curse for short)
Incantation: "Expecto Blocoma"
Description: It is a rather wicked curse. If you prononce the incantation scilently it would seem to produce no effect at all. This curse produces no imediate affect but rather slowly lowers your blood level over a time of a few weeks. It also prevents your body from creating new blood to weaken them over time. There is a easy and simple counter curse ("Reducto Blocoma") and your lost blood with start to reform at a remarkable rate. If the curse is not caught however you will be dead in about 1-2 weeks if not treated.

Spell Creator: James Potter
Name of Spell: The Tecklious Charm
Incantation: Tecklio
Description: The Tecklious Charm is a spell that causes your opponent's hair to be blasted off their head by a blast of fire. It can be blocked by any shield charm, and put out by aguamenti. It is not the most powerful of spells, so I say... Third years and below cannot use this spell.

Spell Creator: Jess Potter
Name of Spell: Anti-Mind Erase
Incantation: Innervate
Description: This spell is used to counter any memory erasing spells sent out, most namely Obliviate, but also protects the mind from being snapped due to excessive torturing or through Legilimens. It can act for both rooms and on individuals. It is cast by pointing your wand at the individual and pronouncing the spell, or if it's for a room by standing near the threshold, inside the room and moving your wand from your lower left diagonally to upper right of your body. This spell must be verbal, and a wand is needed. Only Order of the Phoenix members know of this spell.

Creator: Keera Mast
Name of Spell: Blanditium Charm
Incantation: Blanditium
Description: This charm can be cast on oneself to make the words the caster speaks sound more appealing to the listener, making it seemingly impossible for the caster to fail at persuading the victim to agree which them. This charm can be dangerous if the incantation is pronounced incorrectly, causing anyone who hears the caster’s voice to go into a trance in which they can make no decisions for themselves, and only answer to the caster. A potion can be brewed to fix any problems caused by mispronunciation of the incantation, but the ingredients of said potion are know by few people and are very hard to find.

Spell Creator: Danny Thompson
Name of Spell: Thermal Vision
Incantation: Illic Suscitatio
Description: Allows the caster to peoples body heat by showing the bodys as full white and anything nonliving as dark. Lasts only 30 seconds and has a bleeding effect.


Since magical spells in HP are latin, you may want to check a latin dictionary =D

Yeah, you know, a 1st grade couldn't use that.

By the way, is it OK if I call it the Fenormia curse or hex instead of charm? as it isn't a charm..

Ah yes I thought it would have something to do with Vampires.. I was hoping it wouldn't though.

I dont really like the vamps getting too much stronger then humans. But whatever, I guess I can accept it, just don't over use it or make it too powerful.

Incantation: Treea Woodiss
Description: The spell causes a tree to pop up from the ground, and grow many leaves. The leaves then fall, and stick to your opponent, with no way to get them off(if you are lucky, one may fall on the opponents eyes). The height of the tree and how many leaves grow depends on the power of the spell.
