First NEWT class

The NEWT classes. The most entertaining of classes. Why, one may ask? Surely you are mad to find the whims and willies of pubescent teenagers entertaining. But Shacklebolt was mad. Very mad. Or so they said.
Regardless, the troubles of elder teenagers were rewarding to watch and grin about. So many problems, so many issues... so much thinking in the Short Term.

Why do teenagers insist that they see the big picture when they are so blind?
NEWT students were like blind mice. The best of their year? What a laugh.

But Shacklebolt was a teacher. Such thoughts could wait. And wait.

"Good afternoon class," the Headmaster sang to his eldest students. "I believe some congratulations are in order! You are all NEWT students, and as such, you will be given my full commendation!"

Albus walked out to the grounds, glad to be out of the castle for once. Care of Magical Creatures wasn't really his favorite subject, and Headmaster Shacklebolt was definitely not his favorite teacher, but it was still better than History of Magic and Muggle Studies. Walking over to where the class was, Albus took out his Care of Magical Creatures book and waited for more people to come.

Belle walked down and joined the others for Care of Magical Creatures, this was her favorite subject and though she might not be the greatest witch on some subjects this was one she felt confidant in. She smiled softly at the Professor and nodded her head once in a way of greeting. Before going off to the side and clutching her book to her chest waiting for class to start.

Mariana skipped down the paddock in a very cheerful mood though she hoped it won't be spoiled again by a dragon or something worse. "Good morning Professor Shacklebolt hi everyone." she said walking towards Sophia though Al was too good friend of hers. "I am not late isn't it a miracle?" she commented in Sophia's ear.

"Hey Rose!" Albus replied, pleased and surprised to see her. She hadn't appeared at the other classes and he had been worried something had happened to her. "How are you?" he asked, figuring he might as well talk while they were all waiting for shacklebolt to start.

"Very GOOD!" barked the Headmaster. "I'm doing splendid Ms. Granger, Diggory and Weasley. And of course, Mr. Potter," He added as the last minute. "I certainly hope you are all ready for a new kind of class: NEWT class. Here, you will be tested on your respect, your understanding of the magical races. Will we fight with dragons? Will we ride Hippogriffs? Who knows? But first of all, not everybody is here... I believe..."

Belle looked at the Headmaster as he commented on not everyone being there and she looked around. She wondered how many more students would be joining their class and how well it would go.
