On the Beach; Lily Potter, Open

Ben was lying on the beach in Greece, watching the many boats out to sea. He wished he knew how to drive a boat. It was boiling hot, sun was shining down onto the beach and there wasn't a cloud in sight. A perfect day. There was a slight breeze, but not nearly strong enough, he thought.

Most people on the beach had books, food, music or other things to do. Ben had nothing though. He wasn't really that sort of person. He preferred the company of other people. He was staying in a wizarding hotel, so maybe, just maybe he would be able to speak to someone other than his family. Not that he disliked his family, but spending so much time with them meant that they got on his nerves a bit.

Lily was on the beach in Greece and she was reading her favorite book. It was the perfect day. Not to hot, but the sun was brightly shining and the wind was blowing in her hair. She looked at the deep blue water and smile. She loved the sea more than anything.

She heard someone familiar and she looked over her book. She spotted Benjamin and smiled to him. "Hey Ben! What are you doing here?" asked Lily smiling. She wondered what was the change of the two of them to meet on their holiday.

Ben was still lying down on the beach when he thought he heard his name. He assumed it was someone in his family. He sat up, and was surprised to see none other than Lily Potter, a friend of his from Hogwarts. He smiled. It was a nice surprise. "Hey Lily! I'm on holiday with my family. You?" he replied, returning the question. There was only a small chance he would meet anyone he knew, but he was glad that he had. Someone he liked, as well! That was a bonus. He got along with most people, but meeting a friend was really nice. He was going to like this holiday.

"Oh, you are with your family? That's cool." said Lily with a smile. Her family was really busy. Her father being an Auror barely had any free time. It would be nice if her family was here with her.

"I love Greece and I always wanted to come here. And now, I'm here. But I'm just with a friend. My family is...well to busy you know" said Lily.

Ben nodded. He knew about her family, of course. The famous Harry Potter, who was now dead. He wondered what her mother did. If she wanted to tell him, she would. He wouldn't ask. "Yeah, my father got some last-minute deal so we came out." he added. "It's nice being here with a friend though. I wish I went on holiday with my friends sometimes." he told her. "Not that I dislike my family, just that spending time with them 24/7 means we annoy each other somewhat." he added, trying to explain himself."[/b]

"Yeah, I know what you mean. But you should enjoy it, though. It won't last for long" said Lily. She stood up and closed her book. She looked at the sea and smiled. It was getting warmer, so she really needed a swim. "It's getting really hot. Hey, do you wanna go swimming?" asked Lily Benjamin.

Ben smiled. He would enjoy spending time with them. He got the impression Lily didn't want to talk about it much though, as she changed the subject. "Sure." he replied. He was wearing his swim shorts with a t-shirt anyway. He took his top off and stood up. He was about to walk down towards the sea when he stopped and turned around. He would wait for Lily.

Lily smiled at Ben. "I'm coming!" she said in a rush. She took of her shirt and her skirt, leaving her in a red bikini. She ran to Ben, splashing water all over and giggling like a silly first year. She touched the water slowly, and decided it was perfect. She quickly rushed into the water and dive in. She turned her head to Ben and smiled. "Come one, the water is perfect" she said.

Ben ran down to the sea alongside Lily. He loved swimming, it was one thing he was actually good at. There weren't many things he was good at. He dipped his foot in the water. It was perfect, he agreed. He waded into the water, then swam over to where Lily was. "You're right, the water is perfect." he agreed, smiling. He put his hand in the water and splashed her a bit. Ben wasn't the most mature guy, he just liked to have fun.

Lily giggled when Ben splashed her with water. "Oh! So that's how it's going to be, is it?" asked Lily, joking. "Then, here" said Lily giggling and she splashed some water on to Ben. She went a few steps back, pretended to hide from Ben and smiled. She loved just to have fun and not to worry about things.
