Personality: Misha has always been a sweetie. His Mother brought him up to be kind and caring towards others, and as a result Misha’s the kind of guy who’ll go up to somebody if they look upset and try to figure out what’s wrong. He’s geeky and awkward in social situations unless he comes across somebody who is willing to start the conversation first or looks as if they are in distress. He’s a bit of a whizz kid when it comes to anything involving numbers, so naturally his favourite subject is Arithmancy. He doesn’t really have all that much self confidence with himself physically, although he’s usually willing to speak up when it comes to anything academic, and as a result people think of him as being a bit of a know it all.
Skills: Arithmancy, maths problems, quiz programmes
Weaknesses: Finding the right thing to say in social situations, anything practical, his Mother’s cooking
Likes: Solving problems, talking geek, his Mother’s borscht
Dislikes: Being put on the spot, seeing people upset, pumpkin juice
Motto: (OPTIONAL.)
Family Information: His Mother Anya is Maths Professor at the local university. She immigrated to England from Russia when she was twenty five and met Misha’s Dad, Anthony, who is a wizard and works in the Department of the Care of Magical Creatures. Misha has a brother Vanya who is two years younger than him.
Background: Misha was born on a sunny June day to Anthony and Anya Sheppard. He had a relatively uneventful childhood, and had the best of both worlds having both a magical and muggle parent. Misha grew up speaking both Russian and English in the family home, and is bilingual. He took an early interest in anything to do with numbers at a young age, and was soon ahead of the average child when it came to numeracy courtesy of his Mother. He was delighted to get into Hogwarts, having greatly enjoyed his Father’s stories of his own days there, but unsure if he had magic in him to get him there.
Short Roleplay: Misha cursed softly under his breath as he dashed up the stairs. Sometimes, just sometimes he hated being the sensible and reliable one. Especially when it came to situations like the one that he had just been in.
The day hadn’t started well when he had gotten up late. Other people probably wouldn’t considered it to have been that late, but Misha had always been the type of person who liked to go slowly in the mornings, usually liking to have at least half an hour or so to work through some Arithmancy problems curled up under his covers or huddled up by the fire. Not being up to d it left him feeling a little edgy and staring at the book almost miserably, apologetically even. Naturally, his roommates had just ignored the little display, and for that he was grateful, even through they really should have been wise to his weird habits having roomed with him for nearly seven years. Well he supposed it could have been worse, at least he had control over that he was doing. For a whole year his older brother had sleep-walked into his room and ended up curled up at the bottom of his bed when they were about six. It had only been once or twice a month, but he had rather gotten used to waking up with warm toes every so often.
