Doyle, Edgar Albert

Overall Appearance: Doyle looks like he just got out of bed, sleeping in full attire. Always. He detests formal clothes, he detests shaving and he detests combs. That is why he always look like a homeless drunk, although he has a home and never drinks. He usually wears plain muggle clothes and All-Stars, which allows him to blend into both world. Due to a limp, he always carries a cane, which also holds his wand.

General Personality: One would say he is very strange. Always with a serious look on his face, he is ready, at any moment, to blast a sarcastic, even a sardonic, remark upon anyone. He knows how far he can go with his comment, but sometimes, he intentionally makes people feel miserable. Although he seems miserable himself, he tends to conceal his overall satisfaction with his current position; he carries a lot of burdens and has a history, but Doyle doesn't spread misery because he is miserable himself - he just has his own radical view on the world that he likes to impose. He will mock and make fun of people, tell them directly that they are stupid without even blinking. He also like authority and control, and is very good in manipulating people. But, he also has another side, quite gentle and humane, which he only shows to several people; his family being among them and a few of his friend, although he can always name just two. He is very protective when he cares for someone and will do everything he can to protect the people he cares about.

Early Years: Born in London, to Muggle Parents, Edgar did not discover his magical abilities until he had received the letter from Hogwarts. Although initially sceptical, his parents allowed him to enter the school. Before his trip to Hogwarts, he used to read a lot of books, learned to play the piano, which he mastered later, and the guitar, which he managed to master during his stay at Hogwarts. He used to play a lot with his sister, which resulted in them forming a strong bond between each other (although that did happen when he was a lot older). He had a strong interest in History and Music, but also in Medicine, Chemistry and Science in general. At the age of 10, he finally went to Hogwarts, being one of the rare Muggle-born students in his generation. 

Hogwarts Years: He was, without hesitation, sorted into Ravenclaw because if his great intelligence. Ravenclaw was then headed by professor Flitwick. He exceeded in all subjects, especially Potions, Charms and DADA, but he did have some problems with Herbology and Transfiguration, the latter being because he was to lazy to practice it. He was mostly self-taught, which, as a result, had the fact that he managed to master non-verbal magic and learn the basics of wandless magic. He was also a member of the Quidditch team, playing as their goalkeeper. Ravenclaw won the Quidditch cup during those years. 

After Hogwarts / Adult: After graduating, he stayed in Hogwarts, replacing professor Flitwick as the Head of Ravenclaw and professor Slughorn as the Potions master. He worked in the school for several years, but then returned home to take care of his little sister. At home, he managed to master wandless magic and the piano. During the Wizarding Wars, he sided with the Order, although he never remained there as a permanent member, only because he did not want to bond himself with any organization. He currently operates out of Diagon Alley, as the owner of Slugs & Jiggers Apothecary.
