Kipp Morris

Biography
Born to a squib mother and father it was expected that Kipp was going to be a full muggle. Much to his parents enjoyment however he began to exhibit magical abilities at the age of four. Since then he has grown up with one foot in the muggle world and another in the wizard world. He's had the typical muggle childhood education but has definitely missed days to go see quidditch matches. Then the day came, on his eleventh birthday, where he received his Hogwarts acceptance letter.

At Hogwarts, Kipp was sorted into Gryffindor for his determination to please both his parents and his grandparents. While at school he found himself on the receiving end of prejudice both because of his squib parents but also because he was a very rotund child and teen. Thus, he did not make very many friends and spent most of his time in the library reading. He had always found himself interested in history of all sorts; magical and muggle. He developed a strong interest in his history of magic classes and would go on to be the TA for the subject and receive his only Outstanding on his OWL and NEWT exams.

After Hogwarts, Kipp's mother and father both passed away in a car accident. This left Kipp with only both his mother's father and his father's mother. His other grandparents had passed away during his fifth and sixth year- the two of them had already moved next to each other and begun a secret romantic companionship. Kipp moved in with his grandfather and split time between the two homes as he began to look for work. His parents had always been supportive of Kipp to look at muggle work and wizard work. But nothing seemed to strike Kipp's spark until he thought about teaching.

Initially, Kipp had gotten a job at a high school teaching history to teenagers. He had confounded his way into the job with some falsified documentation. But after many years his grandfather passed away and he decided it was time to embrace his magical heritage while he still had a grandmother left. So, he began to pursue teaching magical teenagers. Which led him to Hogwarts where he is currently attempting to join the faculty as the history of magic professor.

Facts about Kipp Morris:

• His beard is good luck - you will rarely see him without it.
  
• Likely the least qualified out of all the Hogwarts professors - but knows history better than most he knows
  
• Offers his services to the Ministry of Magic - though they have never taken him up on it.
  
• Has a blue tom cat named "Mort" that can be found wandering the castle during off hours and annoying students for pets during classes.
  
• Is more lenient with students than he'd like to be
