School Rules

Uniform

Full school uniform must be worn between 9 am & 3 pm, Monday to Friday (see the following post for a description of the Hogwarts uniform)

Curfew

1st - 4th year students may not walk the halls after 7 pm and are confined to their dorms after 9 pm
5th - 7th year students may not walk the halls after 9 pm and are confined to their dorms after 10 pm
No student should be outside their common room earlier than 6 am

Conduct

Students are expected to treat their peers and staff members with courtesy and respect

Banned organisations

Potter's Army
The Dark Followers

Banned possessions

Any weapon other than a wand
Alcohol, cigarettes, and other illicit substances
Sexually explicit or offensive media

IC Rule Breaking

For those of you who don't know (because we haven't enforced it in a while) sometimes the staff will enter closed threads and tell your character off if they break school rules in a way that makes it likely they'd get caught. We aren't trying to ruin yours or your character's fun, but we have found some people push the bounds of realism of what can go on in a school in the past.

Hogwarts Uniform

White blouse or button down shirt
Grey shorts, slacks or skirt
House tie
Closed toe shoes with leather uppers
House jumper (optional)
Conical hat (optional)
Black robes (optional)

Skirts may be no shorter than mid-thigh
Long hair must be tied back neatly during classes
Students with non-standard piercings must remove them during classes (see a teacher if this is not an option)
Other body modifications must be covered
