Declan looks like most average sixteen years old, although his a little tall for his age standing at about 6'2" and is rather muscular for his age. But does not play much sports, if any it's more muggle sports he plays. Declan can in many cases be described as attractive, and looks pretty good considering where his background is from. His hair is in many cases somewhat like one would see from a boy band with being neatly done, takes immense pride in looking the best. Declan has light blue eyes and is for the most part very clean cut. And due to his mother not being the richest, she still does her best to make sure her son looks the best he can. Although most of his belongings all come from his grandparents who saved money for him.

His dressing style is in many cases rather average, as he does not strive to go all out. Declan common wardrobe consists of jeans, t shirts, shoes, sweatshirts. As his mother does not have a lot of money to have the latest fashions, but tends to keep him mostly up to date with what he wears. When it comes to school time Declan does tend to dress more preppy with wear button downs, nice jeans, and sneakers. Mostly wearing his uniform, as he tends to all things school related. Declan for the most part looks very healthy, and tends to keep up with keeping clean, but at home it's whole other story,
   

Declan is in many cases described as a person who is extremely intelligent for his age, and can in many cases is considered to be a promise child. As well as being known to be the apple to his mother, due to being her only child, and being raised in a house where he learned to appreciate the little things. And having come from a background of being poor, living in third class neighborhoods, having his intelligence often questioned by most members. Declan is overall an promising kid who loves knowledge, and has a strong passion for learning something new.

Like most children, Declan knows right from wrong, but tends to be rather a pushover. Which gets on many people in his life nerves, due to him not having much of a voice. Although Declan tends to try his best to overcome that sort of thing, but generally never succeeds at doing that. Aside from being a pushover, Declan for the most part is extremely friendly and loves to make friends. But socializing is something is not one of his greater aspects, but gets him along for the most part. Making Declan often a boy who does not know what he wants or who he sides with.

Declan tends to also be stubborn, when he chooses to be. Being one of the only forms of backbone that he has, aside from being rather sarcastic. The boy despite having a brain like no other, he tends to consider himself misunderstood, and due to not having a father figure in his life he tends to often blame himself for things that go wrong. And can in many terms be babied by his mother who holds Declan at such a high level, it gets on the nerves of most people.

When it comes to his mother Declan cares deeply about her, and considers her his greatest supporter. And when he does he does tend to work his but off to help his mother out when he is home. Making him someone who loves his mom, and often called a " mummy's boy " by many of the tougher members of his neighborhood who like to act tough. Declan although knows how to take care of himself, but can easily influenced by the littlest of things. Making him often a target for bullies when he was younger, but as years went on the idea of being being bullied deteriorated as years went on.

Early Years:    
Declan had been born as the result of a short-term relationship of Hannah Chamberlain and Blake Richardson, both who had been rather young and for Hannah freshly out of grade school. The relationship had ended upon finding out that Hannah had been pregnant, in which Blake had left Hannah and would not contact her. Leaving Hannah alone to raise her infant son by herself, with the help of her parents and when Declan was born he had had instantly became the pride and joy of Hannah who had wanted to be the best mom she could be. Which would result in an instant bond of Declan and Hannah.

When Declan had been about two years old his mother and grandmother had moved into the poor part of London. Where ended being his home that is still his home to this day. Growing up for Declan had not been the easiest, as his mother had often struggled with trying to provide for herself, mother, and son. Taking all the jobs she could, leaving Declan in the hands of his grandmother who had cared for him and had been one of the main people which sparked his intelligence due to her having read to him at a young age. Leading Declan for the most part having been very gifted, which took a lot off the weight of Hannah who had been thankful for her mother.

Due to their financial standard, Declan had spent most of his time going to muggle primary schools, and had been top of his class for most of his years. Which often made teachers question whether he was built for more higher level learning. Leading to his headmasters to hold meetings with his mother about him possibly being placed into preparatory schools on scholarships. And had been set for secondary school with going to an elite prep schools, but had been interfered when he was visited by a ministry official.

Who told him that he had some sort of magic in him, which led to his mother to be ecstatic with finding out her son was gifted. More than he already had been gifted, and it led to his mother to tell him that he was to attend Hogwarts instead of the muggle prep school he had already been set to go to. And had planned on telling people he was sent to a muggle boarding school that had been elite, so she could hide his secret.

Hogwarts Years:
The first couple years at Hogwarts for Declan had been in many cases a dream come true for him, who had for the longest time not believe in any sort of magic at all. And had spent most of his free-time learning about the wizarding world by reading books from the library and had for the most part done quite well the first couple of years. Once Declan turned thirteen, he had started to wonder who his father had been and began to ask questions, and his mother would often not tell him about it. Having wanted Declan to be raised by her and on her own which his grandmother had disagreed, and in secret told Declan about who his father was.

Declan had wanted to meet his father after his grandmother told him about him, but had no clue how to contact him. And often wondered if maybe one day his father would reach out to him, and often hoped. And halfway through his fourth year his father had ran into an old friend of his Declan's mother where he learned about Declan and how great of a kid he had been. Causing him to want to attempt to get to know his son and had wanted to make him apart of his family with his wife being a little uneasy about getting to know him. But towards the end of his fourth year his father had sent him an owl.

Stating that he had wanted to meet him, and hoped that sometime over the summer they could meet. Which immediately got to his mother who had been extremely reluctant of it, as she had not trusted his father. And had advised against it, but his grandmother who had felt that Declan deserved to know his father had secretly brought him to some sort of restaurant. Where his father had been there eagerly waiting to meet him, which would be the start of a relationship forming between the, and his father had told him why he was not there for him earlier, and said his family had not been fond of him having a child out of wedlock, asking him to leave his mother. Declan had then learned that his father had been a muggleborn just like him.

Which led to the start of his fifth year being on speaking terms with his father, who had wanted him to meet his siblings, and finding out that he had a brother who would be attending Hogwarts that year. And Declan had been introduced to him while on a trip to Diagon Alley where his father had asked him if perhaps he would consider spending the next summer with him for them to bond. Which Declan had agreed and it led to him knowing that he needed to get his now his brother.

The summer before his sixth year he had spent with his father, who had introduced him to some people from his side of the family. Declan had connected with most of the people who where there, but had instantly became friends with his step-mother who had been curious to know how the boy was, and had told him a little bit about the wizarding world. Leading Declan to grow quite fond of his step-mother as he knew that his mother would be a little uneasy about it. Although Declan did not care, and when he returned home he learned that his mother had not been to fond of him forming a relationship with his step-mother, and had been very uneasy about his father.

Declan did not let it phase him as he had decided to focus on school more than his family issues.
