You Think You Know Me, But You Don't

Helloooo. This is Naomi Mulciber, Hit's little sister. She went missing in the middle of last school year and was finally found just after Ilvermorny's mess ended. She was allowed to take her exams and passed just well enough to be a fourth year like she was supposed to. She's still 15, though, because her birthday is in September, just after the cut-off for the school year. People probably expected her to be the same shy, quiet girl - perhaps even more reserved than normal, actually. But she's gotten worse over the past few months. In fact, she's become completely horrible. The only person she really doesn't seem to hate is her brother, Josiah (also a fourth year. The Mulcibers have strange birthdays )

Basically, she isn't really nice to anyone, and covers up her insecurities through sheer intimidation, shouting/screaming at people, and coming up with whatever sarcastic, mean, insulting thing she can. And she doesn't take well to people trying to come back at her. So far, nobody has really messed with her. But now she's up to something with Apollo - and those who know her new personality might assume she's using him somehow - and her attitude is getting worse.

I would guess that people either hate her, fear her, or think she's ridiculous and think they can get her to go back to normal. Good luck to them. Professors are probably keeping an eye on her, secretly or otherwise, and I would wager that anyone who used to think she was attractive in some way are probably questioning that decision.

Her hair constantly changes color, she pretends to like Potions better than she really does because she thinks it might make people worry what she's up to, and is probably best at DADA because she's focused on it since getting back from the kidnapping/torture/other awful things. If anyone wanted to try and befriend her, asking for help with that class or with Astronomy might be a place to start

All my characters probably think she's a try hard, tbh.

If she's good at Defence, Destrey would love to make her demonstrate it on her classmates.

Selwyn might try to get her to open up, or he might just assume she's a drama queen.

It would also be totally valid to say she's just turned into a B*tch, really. *shrug*

Her coping mechanism is not a great one, but she's sticking to it as far as I can tell. So she would probably either take sick pleasure in cursing people after what happened to her, or she would be defiant on purpose but make it look like an act. I'm not sure which. Might depend on who the target is, really.

And he could certainly try if you want. But she might just ice him out in the end.

Well, if she's defiant to Destrey, she'll just curse her. So that could be a thing.

And whether Selwyn does anything will depend on how she develops I think. So that would be down the road anyway.

As for the others, it will probably develop in any threads with them.

Yeah, makes sense. That sounds fair enough.

Pavo all the way. I think Jack's sending Gretel into my thread for her with Fensa after a bit, but I'll have to double check. She mentioned she might want to. So maybe that's the in?

And Charlie could be fun. I think she mostly ignores people until the accidentally bother her, though. So maybe we need an inciting incident somewhere?

That works! Any excuse would work for Pavo and Naomi, I think. But we can totally wait till he meets Gretel so she can introduce them.

Any excuse would also work for Charlie. We could have him accidentally ruin/spill a potion she's been working on or something? (@Ace Longbottom think Goose would want in?)

I mean, there's a thread with the fourth year girls in the dorm, which would arguably mean that they know each other at least in passing. If you find yourself with time and want to have her interact with him anyway we could do that.

And yeah, that's fine. If she's down in the potions classroom or something then she could step away to get something and he/they could muck it all up.
