If there was anyone in the forest around him, and Sebastien O'Sullivan wholeheartedly hoped there wasn't, he was hoping that person didn't mind a bit of nudity, he laughed dryly and started stripping with first indications of upcoming night. He neatly folded his clothes, put it in a plastic bag and put the bag beneath the tree he chose especially for this occasion.
The moon should have already risen if his calculations were correct, but he was still human, a naked man standing in the middle of the woods, people would probably call him lunatic if they could see him now. Interesting how he never thought his knowledge of astronomy would come in handy, although it was his favourite subject in Hogwarts, he always saw astronomy more like a hobby then like a real subject, like something he could use in real life.
That was before he was bitten and became a werewolf. Before tracking moon phases became one of the most important things in his life so he'd always be prepared and be somewhere far from any town and people he might hurt as a canine.
The tingling started in his neck and spread through his spine. Sebastien looked up, at the sky, and sure enough, the moon was there, that meant the pain will come soon, too. The tingling travelled through every bone in his body forcing Sebastien on his knees.
O'Sullivan clenched his teeth as the pain ripped through the body when the tingling evolved into pinching and pulling as his muscles and bones started changing their shape, changing the skeleton and musculature of a man into an animal.
A scream of pain ripped through the woods and Sebastien wondered who's screaming, before realising it was him. It was his last sane thought before the world went black.
The wolf rose from the place where a man was crying in agony only a few moments earlier, it howled, saying hello to his old friend – the moon, stretched itself, the same way he would do after a long sleep, sniffing the ground in the process.
And ran.
